I suppose my ultimate problem with this season is it feels like a similar, but different, show. The characters are kinda shoehorned into their new, similar, roles. If the cast/characters were entirely new, it may have been more successful. But, when I watch Archer, I expect Archer. Mr. Pickles had a more successful diversion, Astronaut Dolphin Detective.

For my part, I don't think it needs deep analysis, it just isn't funny.

This last episode was definitely the funniest of the season, but that isn't saying a whole lot because the previous episodes were kinda sparse on laughs.

It's not funny. It's more "vibey".

I'd say it's arty, but it's not arty either. They're just trying to do a noir thing. They are suceeding. It's just that you have to question the attempt, is all. heh.

I liked the Dr. Kreiger parts of the last episode. But again, not funny. More "amusing".

Honestly, probably just wait until the season is complete then shotgun the thing in two nights.

They may be working to a dramatic finish. There's some stuff going on with archer in his dreamland, the way that he views himself... I dunno. Either they're heading that way or else it's just a swing and a miss.

I kinda think that Archer is going to wind up doing something very un-archery, he's going to be self sacricifing and heroic... and then he'll wake up from his coma and not remember any of it and it's back to the same old archer next season.

If there is one, and this isn't building to a series finale.

This version of FoH fucking sucks balls when it comes to TV. It's a "meh" season, but it's watchable. Not like anything else is on

I would say it's still worth watching. I'm enjoying it so far. Definitely not as funny but the story is better than most of the past diversion seasons.

Normal TV has been dull this season, but Anime has been hitting it out of the park. I'm enjoying so many shows this season, where as only around 3 last season.

yeah this is a good summary, they only got 3 episodes left and this show doesnt feel anywhere close to be wrapped up.

its not a bad TV season compared to rest of TV out there, but its more of the same Archer mediocrity we've seen over past few years, there are no gems here.

yeah liked this episode a lot, and the 3rd act was pretty suspenseful for an archer episode - they should try going that route more often.

I feel this series is suffering the same problem as South Park where forcing a continuous storyline through every episode just doesn't work. Two-parters here and there, recurring plot points or side characters, sure. But it's supposed to be a comedy and that works better in segments so I have no idea why they are straining their writing chops with "plot" taking up a whole season.

I've really liked this season, maybe because I watched like 6 in a row so it all felt really good, but eh I dunno the humor in this show regardless of the style they're trying has always resonated with me.

That was the finale? I mean, I know they wrapped up the dreamland storyline, but they didn't wrap up the archer in a coma storyline or the archer-bot storyline from the previous season.

Besides, hasn't woodhouse been dead for a while? Didn't he die before they even did the archer vice season?
