I think I like Flash better then Arrow now as a show, the writing seems to be a bit better and I like the supporting characters. Cisco is the man

Speaking of brooding and such, I don't know where it actually originated, but I'm getting sort of tired of the "I am failing my city" or "I am protecting this city" or "I want to felch this city" that is becoming more prevalent in these comic book shows. Oliver says it constantly, Daredevil used it a ton (both DD and Kingpin), and even fucking Gotham is all about "cleaning up Gotham." That's why Flash appeals to me more and more, because he isn't constantly moaning about the city, he just wants to help people in general.

Arrow's whole first season is about Oliver making up for his parents involvement in the destruction of the city. It's not just something the writers had him say because they thought it sounded cool.

I kind of miss this about S1. Watching him put arrow after arrow into people was good times.
I kinda wish they'd stop only divulging small pieces of flashback story at a time, in part I'm more interested in WTF happened to that bioweapon and Masayo's (?) son that drove him to the League than anything else.

Are you serious? His son very obviously dies to the bio-weapon. Maseo even mentioned to Diggle having time to lie to his son and tell him it would be alright. Seems pretty safe to say that in one of the upcoming flashbacks we're going to see Maseo and Tatsu inoculate themselves against the bio-weapon but don't get back to Akio in time to inoculate him, so Akio dies in Maseo's arms.

The writing on this show is awful, why did they even bother having that whole scene with Diggle, and his wife both saying they would quit to raise their family if he is just going to put himself back on the front lines again.
I can understand in a crisis he was there to help, but in the aftermath him fighting crime again is dumb. Whatever, I only watch this show for the occasional DC villain anyway.
