Yeah. That worked out real well.And it makes sense. Hulk always was sort of the frienemy of the avengers. When he behaved he was a huge powerful force backing them but there were many occasions he would just go so out of control the avengers were called in to stop him. Stark made the hulkbuster armor for a reason. So it makes sense in an avenger movie that they wind up having a side plot of hulk troubles.
Hulk is always one of those jars of crazy you only want to bring out in case of appocalypse. He is what you bring to a situation when adding in a giant green rage monster can't make the problem any worse than it already is preferably with enough actual bad guys to keep him occupied.
There is a reason for the whole old planet hulk story line where the avengers just got so sick of dealing with hulk clean up that stark basically sent hulk to another planet.
