I didn't "like" it, but it didn't bother me the way it did the first time around.
This is also my first time ever binging the Marvel Cinematic Universe. I've had all of them on blu-ray since they were available, but finally watching all of them in rapid succession. Next up is Captain America.

In the original (as in, Norse Myth, not Marvel original), he's not only a Frost Giant's son, he's blood brother to... Odin himself (instead of being Thor's "brother"). Which is why his antics in Asgard get tolerated until he manages to get Baldur killed. I was sad that he wasn't correctly depicted in Ragnarok, since he's the father of Hela (rather than Odin) and Fenrir.
(being a full shapeshifter, he's more than that, he's also the mother - yes mother - of Odin's horse, Sleipnir. That didn't go well, and Sleipnir ended with 8 legs rather than 4)

this is the exact reason why they separated marvel mythology and norse mythology. i love norse mythology but it is REALLY messed up.

It focuses on the original 6. Ironman, Captain America, Thor, Hulk/Banner, Hawkeye and Black Widow. The six they say they're focusing on for this film. The rest are ancillary figures who happen to still be alive...
