I've cared a lot less about opening nights, and I normally don't care about spoilers, but this is a movie a rather not have spoiled and it'll be impossible to avoid. Also, I enjoy packed theaters.
Isnt this already been spoiled in the comics for decades? even if its a little different than the comics, we still all know Thanos is going to get beaten. the only "mystery" is how cool it will be. what my real question is, if somebody told you the entire movie conclusion right now, would you still go and see it?

Spoilers will be everywhere by Saturday, likely Friday for this one. If you game with anyone, watch streams, search forums, etc you will get killed by a gay Snape who thought you were a trans Dumbledore.

Yeah I'm pretty much gonna have to go dark from when I get off work Thursday til I see it on Friday afternoon

i didnt say that, i'm saying that if you're worried about the movie being spoiled by dicks, it could have been spoiled already, somebody mentioned the snape kills dumbledore assholes. that happened with the books while people were waiting in line to buy them when it first went on sale. nothing stopping dicks from doing that again. in fact the chances of seeing the movie in a packed theater with people coming out of an earler showing blabbing their mouths about the ending is much higher than waiting a few days for a weekday showing.

OK Captain Devil's Advocate. I know Ironman is going to survive isolation in space. Doesn't detract one iota from any potential of my own enjoyment from the film. Every character here is defined by a comic book, has a more or less defined archetype with their undisclosed (or not) background, Devil is in the details.

Warlock was a critical player in the original story and won't even be mentioned here. Also, Thanos's dick was hard for Death, a character named after death itself, where he thought celebrating her with more "death" would seduce her, not a 50% life reduction to bring an arbitrary balance to the universe... Same characters, similar circumstances, completely different story. I mean, how many Batman origin'ish stories are out there. Some are good, some are terrible. Like Marvel films themselves...

All I read is "I'm not gonna watch Lion King cuz I've read Hamlet."

...

OK.

i wasnt playing devil's advocate. i was more or less just saying dont friggin sweat seeing it first before all your faggot friends do because it shouldnt be about getting the hot scoop on l33t raid inf0z. it should be about enjoying the entire theater experience watching closure on several character archs built up over the last decade.

It's about seeing it with as little outside knowledge as possible as to enjoy the movie as much as possible. The reason is if you don't want to have bits of the movie spoiled nowadays it's next to impossible unless you don't absorb any media whatsoever. There are people that will spoil it just to be dicks.

Also I don't see why you care so much about how other people want to enjoy a movie.

You must have a shitty life if you've never been excited to see a movie or anything where you want to see it or get it when the thing first comes out. If all you are basing this on is if we care we get spoiled or not you are missing the entire point. I don't think anyone here is going just because they don't want to get spoiled. They enjoy the opening night experience and all of that.

Well Chuk, as I said 2 pages ago, I for one enjoy the energy in the air of a packed theater + I don't have to quarantine myself from the internet due to worry about being spoiled by dumb fucks. The "first to see it" reason is a FAR distant third in my book. I could be the very last to see it afaic if I lived in a bubble.

11:50pm Thursday, but I got the prime seat at ipic. Their site crashed repeatedly, took overt an hour to get them. Would have preferred an earlier time, but wasn't willing to get any other seat

i dont understand the need to be "first!" to see this. i mean i will see it eventually, its going to be in a million theaters. could probably just wait for a weekday showing and watch it in an almost empty theater. its not summer yet so the kiddies will be at school. hell, you could probably get a good seat on an early saturday showing.

What is wrong with you?

(Spoiler: Everything).

I specifically avoid opening night for shows like this. The crowds and the stink alone are not worth it. Sunday or Monday late show is pure Jesus.

Yes, we all know Thanos is going to be defeated, but I'd rather not know if/how Stark/Cap/Thor die since there's been so much talk about their contracts ending. I don't go to many movies on opening weekend anymore, but making an exception for this one.

i think the last movie i saw on opening was Crank: High Voltage, cuz i knew it was going to be good and there wouldnt be a lot of kids or faggots in there. i really dont like a crowded theater, i always end up catching a cold because some dirty motherfucker decided to see the same movie i wanted to see and sit in back of me to cough out their last breath.
