i wonder what will happen with the CGI, isn't everything in 480p? I guess just upscaled to 1080p? Wish they'd hire the dude who did the Farscape AI upscaling

Apparently all this B5 stuff is because some douche nozzle at Warner Brothers retired. This person *hated* Babylon 5 and was in a position to make sure that absolutely nothing was done with the property for 20 years. Once they left the building everything was possible.

Weird that its not 4K, as they have the scans. Either way I am happy, its up on Amazon for $134, 21 discs and 78 hours of run time.

It's in HD, right? What about the CGI? I thought it was rendered in 4:3 and that was the issue. Apologies, I'm sure this was answered somewhere above. Lazy.

They remastered and released a 4:3 1080p version on HBO Max a few years ago, and it seems that they are just going to burn those episodes to a Blu-Ray disk. The CGI is still the weakest part of the show; if they have 16:9 or 21:9 film of the rest of it, it would be awesome to get some updated CGI cut over the old stuff.

Watched it this morning. It's a fun story, not super original but a nice series of What If scenarios that nicely dovetails into the upcoming reboot.

The best parts are, as always, G'kar and Londo.

i think the reboot is dead, CW owns the rights and i don't get the feeling they want to spend any money on anything

Yeah, the animated movie was good. Not great, but I enjoyed. Was great hearing Londo again.

Babylon 5 is better than all those, once you are able to get past the bad computer generated stuff. Move it to the top of the list. You get used to it after a while and the the plot was the best in the genre. Only the plot of The Expanse came close, some 20 years later, and it dropped the ball in the last two seasons.
