Some of the fan-created modules/campaigns are getting finished up and several of them are nearly the same quality as the base game. Voice acting/animation aside.

There are a couple that are extraordinarily massive endeavors that won't be finished for another 6+ months, but what's available now suggests that the future for this game is going to be incredible.

One group is actually attempting to reproduce the entire Curse of Strahd campaign. if they're able to pull that off - wow.

Are there any specific ones you’d like to highlight? The only mods I’ve bothered to install are QoL improvements. I haven’t been particularly interested in new subclasses or overpowered items or cheats.

Right, you can just agree to everything and it doesn't change the outcome. "Here! Take the artifact! Sure! I'll kill the Dream Visitor, Vlaketh!". Doesn't impact anything as far as I'm aware.

I guess I need to look into the new subclasses. I haven't really looked at it, was waiting till it waw released or had a release date. Though it seems like lots of people were playing the test for it.

They've done a lot of balancing to nerf some of the OP stuff that was early in the beta. Patch might break them a bit, but there are a lot of mods out there that add homebrew classes or subclasses.

Speaking of mods I'm not currently using any. I need to look into an inventory management mod. I don't sell any equipment and just keep it on hand so I can change out depending on what is happening or I respect a character. Gets kind of over whelming.

I need a camera mod or I am missing something. My gith can jump higher with super jump than my camera in game will zoom out making it very hard to get to a lot of places. Plus I've seen some streamers and videos and they pan for like forever and I can't do that. I pan for a little while and it's like hitting a brick wall. Very narrow. I thought it might be my graphics card cause I'm on my backup card and waiting for the market to settle down. 3070ti.

Finished act 1 with the wife at about 40 hours. Probably missed a couple things, but in general we cleared every map and recruited everyone. Started act2 and the thematic change is nice.

Couple interesting things. We're both level 6 and my sword bard is absurd. I have a ton of extra attacks and basically destroy high hp mobs in a single round. Wife is an owlbear and the damage output and health is nuts.

I think Im close to fucking shadow heart. I just gave her her favorite flower and she warmed up. So far I am loving this game. Little nervous no other crpg will hold up.

Shadowheart you'll have to wait until act 3 to do that (she takes the longest to unlock that), but the flower was an important step in unlocking that

I liked the owlbear when I had the chance to get elevated and fly down, boom.

Damn. I cheesed that last fight on my honor run with the runepowder barrel and sphere of invulnerability. I had enough problems with it on my first run so I knew to prepare in advance.

I used a barrel and a sphere and still bought it. Oh well. I really was not into that character which is probably the biggest issue. Abjuration wizard. I'm more of a melee type.

That entire run had no direction. Gith that started as something I have forgot by now, then another, and finally an abjuration wizard. Not sure what I will do next. For a lot of act 3 abjuration wizard almost seemed like it was entirely cheesing the game. Maybe that's why I got real lax.

No other crpg does add up to it, it’s immense. Just play through it and make new choices. Dark urge run. Mods. Etc

Old CRPGs were great for their time but nothing comes close to BG3. The amount of talent in writing and voice acting alone blows everything else ever made away. And the modern gameplay just can't be matched.

I'd say it's the second best computer game of all time. Only behind Elden Ring. Which is a complete masterpiece. Artwork, story, and the most amazing combat system ever.

You will want to play BG3 multiple times just to experience the different character arcs and quest lines.

You will want to play ER multiple times just to try out different weapon combinations and to revisit the gorgeous world. The lands between are simply amazing and unmatched.
