Everything is artificial nothing has soul anymore

cars look the same, buildings look the same, people dress and follow the same trends, social media is over ran by bots, music and movie suck it’s all rehashed shit

it’s over for the human race we are on a downward spiral to the bottom

00s was the last goat decade.

If you want to know the reason why things are downhill its because of big corporations and catering to masses. Look at the beginning of any hobby that has become mainstream and you'll see all the signs. I'm not a gatekeeper, but I don't respect someone who does know the oringal rules.

I will say I'm interested in Humanoid robots and A.I.

Well look at who was in charge of the culture during the golden years vs today. Back in the day it was people who were genuinely passionate for whatever they were trying to create, who were genuinely the best and most capable at creating the best and most appealing products, and the companies producing these products genuinely wanted to make the most appealing things they could for the mass market.

That all changed in the 2010's. A flood of activists infiltrated companies, diversity hires took priority, companies stopped prioritizing what the people wanted and started prioritizing what big politicians and investors wanted, and we're living with the results. Everything now needs to revolve around agenda as opposed to passion or genuine appeal. The only passion to be found is political.

The agenda is money. And when enough money is made, then it becomes control which is where.

DEI actually came about by money and ESG ratings. The higher a companies ESG rating, the more funding

No it came around due to Obama era policies directly funding these woke shit heads. Stop voting demorat and we won't have to deal with all this stupid bullshit. They went from pushing "politically correct" speech in the 90s to tranny time story hour in the 20teens. Utter bullshittery. Brought to you by funding from USAIDs

Finally some more movement on my Camaro's body work. Body is poly primered, just needs to get blocked, some final bumper work, minor touch ups, and it'll be ready for paint.

Yup exactly. You can trace all of these developments over the past decade+ to big money tied to big government trying to usher in "liberal world order."

Just look at the recent situation with Apple, I think that has exposed everything really. Apple's CEO wanted to drop DEI, but then there was a stockholder meeting where the investors voted against it. Guess who owns majority stock and influence in that company, big investment firms who were pushing shit like ESG and DEI in the first place. Thing is even after that, Apple's CEO is still going to get rid of DEI on some level because it's becoming illegal.

I just think the whole situation really exposes who has been really pulling the strings at all these big companies.

Classic fukking burnercel.

Coal Man makes about 5 posts talking about how surprised he is by how smooth and satisfying the Stellar Blade gameplay feels. He laments multiple times how it reminds of a fun ride throughout, akin to what gaming used to feel like in the past.

In one small part of one said post, Coal Man also says it's cool to have an attractive protag who the devs spent alot of time giving cosmetics for. There's no hyper sexuality in the game. It's just a hot chick who gets some hot outfits. Most of the game is just about fighting monsters.

There's a free demo of the game, why not give it a try for 10 mins and see for yourself?
You're trying to reason with a guy who wet his pants laughing all the way through High on Life. His take on anything in life or videogames comes with a dozy, head-in-the-clouds low IQ weed high literally every day of the week for years on end. Dopamine receptors burnt out a long, long time ago.

Yeah it's even worse in that thread now.
We tried telling him all this back in September and October, but he's a fuckin manlet and will never learn.
Yeah, he is so fucking dense it's incredibly frustrating.

Admin is learning the hard way that free speech absolutism is nice in theory, but doesn't work in practice
It's not just the free speech thing, he is just fucking weird as fuck. The kind of guy that would give a rapist pedo a 100 chances and never admit he is wrong when 100 more kids get raped.

Did High on Life even have gameplay? All I heard from Freeburner was that it was made by the Rick and Morty creators, therefore funny and therefore "amazing"
I spoke about it to him months ago and his metric for that game's success was that it made him laugh several times.

I said numerous times it was a fun, short simple game with a Rick and morty sense of humor that was good because it was free on gamepass. I liked that it wasn't serious or dreary like every try hard emo game coming out around then, it wasn't woke with annoying female protagonists or gay love stories. It was like a cartoon on adult swim. I like satire and comedy, not serious and dreary.

Man I was enjoying coming back here a bit more lately but the dynamic duo of cringe is in full effect now that onelegs registered. I have no desire to sit here and argue or defend myself, or watch you two butt buddies talk shit about me over video games lmao. When misc died I left all that behind, plus I barely play any video games at all so my desire for back and forths over it, is about 0.

I thought we turned a new leaf here but I guess some things never change

BTW High on Life is still more enjoyable than horizon dawn or tlou, based on the simple fact that I don't have to play as a gay female protagonist.

Calm down. I'm just commenting on how you held HOL to a different standard than Stellar Blade.

You referring to one of those games as cringe and the answer not being High on Life is wild to me.

Anyway sorry to hear you're not gaming much anymore but check out the demo when you get some passion back. Genuinely want to get your impressions on the gameplay, srs.

Barely. The only good bit is the boys from Red Letter Media make a cameo where they do commentary on a movie within the game, but you may as well watch any episode of Half In The Bag instead. Weedcels get super argumentative when they aren't high enough, which if you smoke daily becomes increasingly difficult to reach that state, if ever.
Stellar Blade looks dope, I'll pick it up once I'm done with Robocop. Those devs are massively underrated. They've been providing fan service for 80s/90s Sci Fi for years now but zoomers will say 'Robocop walks too slow, 3/10' because they never saw the movie.
Similar thing with Alien Isolation I think. You're not supposed to be able to just blast the alien with a shotgun. It's recreating the movie with all the appropriate sounds and setting. That game really needs a remaster and a sequel tbh

Great fucking point. I didn't play isolation cuz that shit is a step beyond the classic horror games, but I watched an entire playthrough. Absolute psycho chit, a masterpiece in what it set out to do.

But yes, it's slow and a gradual build up of tension that's beyond anything in media imo. If your mind is programmed to be entertained only by fast paced twitch action you will certainly not appreciate its greatness.

I know you'll have a blast with SB though, the highest compliment I can pay that game is that I have no doubt it's devs are actual gamers themselves. They just know what appeals to gamers and tripled down on it.
