how do my bros feel about having a 1.5 kitchen sink/dishwasher drain down into the basement into a 2" wye with 1.5" dry vent to roof then immediately another 2" wye to basement sink to under slap to 4" with a toilet and 2" washer stack off that with no individual vents.

No basements in Florida. I can't really give an opinion on that setup. Also, I don't know shit about plumbing.

Gimme an iso drawing of that shit and I'll let you know if it's to the Canadian code. No idea what passes for plumbing codes in your area.

The problem that I'm detecting is that your toilet and sink are a pipe. That's not going to work.

One keg party and that place is going to be a real mess.

When's the party?

heh, you're doing a lot of shit wrong there, at least as far as the code I'm used to goes. T's or TY's are not supposed to be used on their backs, for one. Only on the vertical. But that's not really a big deal. Your toilet isn't vented, near as I can tell, nor is the standpipe for your washer. When your toilet flushes it will probably pull the water from the laundry trap. If you extended a vent from your washer stand pipe to tie in to the other vent, then that would vent both the washer standpipe and the toilet. Same goes with the sink and dishwasher upstairs, those need to be vented.

Basically the whole concept of DWV is to make sure that any traps are protected by a vent. If they aren't then they can be siphoned off either by momentum from that fixture, or by another fixture downstream. No trap seal results in sewer gas leaking directly in to the building, which is mostly a nuisance but can also be lethal if it's really bad gas with CO. Or can result in an explosion if there's a bunch of methane.

I just did a quick isometric drawing that shows roughly how things should be vented. Technically the vent doesn't even need to come off the bottom sink/lav, it could just continue off the top of the stack the serves your kitchen sink. The sink below would be wet vented through the stack (although it should probably be 2" if you're going to use it as a wet vent). But you definitely need a vent coming off your laundry standpipe to vent it and the toilet, otherwise the toilet will probably pull the traps either in the laundry standpipe or lower sink/lav.
