your review reminds me of typical yelp review.Oh you brave souls critizing this game in the lair of so many fanatic thralls, ready to rip you to shreds. You heroes, you. You are like conservatives critizing Obama with the IRS watching. Brave, brave warriors you all.
Ahem, some random thoughts I had while playing this:
Intro was pretty damn good. The opening with that chick singing in the room with water was very immersive and I knew here the game would be awesome.
Then the game started sucking.
Holy NPC / face reuse batman, immersion got hit by a mac truck.
Oh.. another Comstock audio file.. guess i'll try to remember to play it real soon.
Graphics are cartoony. I hate cartoony graphics, is it still really 2004?
World design, despite cartoony, is very good.
Story is crap. They go so far out of their way to be profound that they say virtually nothing at all. Weak minds will find it "deep".
Gameplay is meh and repetitive.
Exploration is great. Level design is slightly awe inspiring.
Weapons are dull and boring.
Tonics are dull and boring.
Enemies are dull and boring.
Story, again, is total crap imo. Total. Crap. Feels good to get that off my chest.
Using the rail system left a lot to be desired. I found it to be annoying.
Lockpick system is lame and beats immersion over the head with a board and giant nail. Doom's simple red, yellow & blue key system was way better.
Comstock is the most boring "villain" i've seen in a game in a long time. I think they outdid that broad on Bioshock 2 on how boring they could make a central villian.
The girl was OK, but i found her annoying and gimmicky. She was such a cliche I just couldn't love her.
The leader of the resistance was basically that black lady from Bioshock 2.
The game never crashed on me, that's a plus.
I tried to start a replay but I doubt ill finish it ever again.
I will not be leaving a tip.
yeah, I found that part funny too. of all the dumb shit complained about, somehow missing the game is a long hallway for 99% of the game as well, is amusing.Wait... there was exploration and inspiring level design? It was a rail shooter (at times, literally) across the board. It was just covered up by very good art and scavenger hunts for lockpicks if you missed some blatant packs of them laying around.
I hope one day a large black cock is inserted into one of your entry points.Oh you brave souls critizing this game in the lair of so many fanatic thralls, ready to rip you to shreds. You heroes, you. You are like conservatives critizing Obama with the IRS watching. Brave, brave warriors you all.

Welcome to every FPS ever created since motherfucking Wolfenstein3D.yeah, I found that part funny too. of all the dumb shit complained about, somehow missing the game is a long hallway for 99% of the game as well, is amusing.
Yeah unfortunately every game can't be like Fallout 3/New Vegas or FarCry. I wish every game could have that kind of exploration aspect, but it would get old after a while.Welcome to every FPS ever created since motherfucking Wolfenstein3D.
They story feels like the writing staff completely turned over about halfway through the process and when the new writing staff came on the said "fuck it," and started writing their version of the storywithout changing anything that had already been written.you know, i am kinda confused. after playing this game again for the fourth time, i think there are some disjointed parts. for one, elizabeth asks him what does he do two times. Another thing. Elizabeth is asked about song bird couple times. At first (first half), she talks of him as if he is a warden. A bit of hate, but nothing to be afraid of. All we know is that he is a guardian. In the second half, before Elizabeth and Booker cracks the special code near the elevator, Booker asks her, "what did that thing do to you?" Elizabeth doesn't answer at first. After a bit of hesitance, she tells him to kill her before it takes her. Something about "something so close to death' or something like that. What? I thought Song Bird was just a guardian. Her tone of response changes from annoyance to fear..just like that.
I think that some parts of Bioshock Infinite was just slapped together from prior project before going with multiverse/Booker v. Comstock concept. i dunno. not a big deal, but something i noticed.
yeah, no doubt. basically, they used the very same scene that they used in the gameplay illustration before the game was released and just changed the background and the context. it's basically line to line, except the setting. It's sort of like after finishing an essay, you look back and realize you need to change the thesis but you like some parts of the essay. so you just take that and copy and paste between new paragraphs. it's good on it's own, but it's not right. They story feels like the writing staff completely turned over about halfway through the process and when the new writing staff came on the said "fuck it," and started writing their version of the storywithout changing anything that had already been written.

It is definitely not a cash-grab. The game has the atmosphere and every bit the attention to detail that the first one had. The game just oozes quality and has some of the most awe inspiring set-pieces in any game ever. Though, it is a bit of a mind fuck and how you feel about it at the end is going to vary from person to person.bioshock 1 was one of my favorite games. i didn't bother with 2 cos i thought bioshock ought to be a stand-alone, and the whole idea for making a sequel sounded gay. thought this one was also going to be a cash grab, but from what i've heard, as well as comments here on this thread, this game looks pretty good. definitely next one on my list.
thanks for the heads up, gents.
