really, many of the ones i see up on RT seem to focus on it
- "Birds of Prey may not be the most powerful or poignant movie you’ll see this year, but as a foray into female empowerment, it is a buoyant, bullshit-free blast."
- " Girls just wanna have fun, blow chemical factories to smithereens and beat the snot out of real bad dudes who deserve their emasculation – which they should damn well be allowed to. It’s a man’s world, but Harley Quinn takes back what’s hers with a smile, twirl, and power-packed punch that never clowns around. "
- "Once Robbie takes over the live-action role, she relentlessly perpetrates bad behavior, in an R-rated milieu too. But she’s lashing out at lowlife sexists so you don’t feel bad that she’s hurting people. "
i'm prob seeing it friday, doesn't cost me anything other than time so we'll see. I have zero trust in general critics to be honest anymore, and the 2-3 critics whose opinions generally track with mine (angry joe, double toasted, RLM) haven't posted reviews yet on YT
