They look practically the same age. There is just no point in recasting Blade for this movie. Masher Ali doesn't have the aura of Snipes on screen. It's just not a good idea, fans are going to hate Masher's Blade.

Even with him being like 50 pounds lighter in Deadpool 3 he still looked fine and I'm guessing that despite his age he can still do better stuntwork than Ali. Even with all the time wasted on Ali if you got right down to it you could probably bang out a trilogy with Snipes before he turned 70.

At this point, and with Deadpool already reality, they really should just go ahead with Snipes. Make it some kind of torch passing. It has snipes but really isn't his movie.
Make is about some younger version that he tutors and the new Blade is the evolution of the Daywalker. They can tie in so many modern day bullshit naratives, like the left vs right shit that you regards eat up.

Pretty sure I read one of the main delays was Masher Ali rejecting the daughter script when he came onboard. He got the main script trashed.
Guessing Marvel is trying to fine tune the amount of daughter and the story to be acceptable.

Because the first predator was red meat on steroids macho madness. Bunch of manly men owning shit until Predator slaps his big fat alien cock on the table and said "sup, faggots?" Then everything amps up to 11 and ends with a fucking tactical nuke that Arnold was able to survive. A movie that gratuitous wouldn't have been allowed any other time except the 80s.
