Wilder should wait.

Fury can do bigger things in the immediate future.

I'd like to see Wilder-Fury3 after these two both make me anticipate the matchup: now it's going to be a third boxing clinic by Fury where Wilder hopes to land a right hand, but if we wait a year or two we could have all the belts on the line against a more skilled Wilder.

I have not paid attention to boxing in years. I never saw or heard of either of them. Klitschkos were the last fighters I remember. Deontay is finished.

I mean he can keep shitting all over most of the rest of the division with his freak power. He just can't reasonably beat Fury if he doesn't actually learn to box and defend at least somewhat.

Shame of it is I think Wilder could be a very good boxer, but he doesn’t seem to want to be one.

Something was up with Fury's gloves in that fight though. If you watch some of the replays, it seems as though his fist is near the tape, where his wrist should be. His gloves are flopping around and bending back when he throws power punch.

I'm not sure what the advantage would be besides extending his reach by a good 5 inches or so. That and maybe if he hits him right, the force of the punch is more pronounced if he lands with the wrist area, which appeared to be the case on at least a couple blows.

Strange.

Let's be real, Fury absolutely handled Wilder over 19 rounds aside from two defensive lapses from Fury. He fucking mollywhopped Wilder, and he'll do it again. Wilder is retarded to hop immediately back in the ring with him. Take a few months off, get in the ring with a Top 10 heavyweight, and pray Joshua beats Fury.

It's just insane that Wilder has fought 44 pro fights and is this unskilled. I mean knocking out 41 dudes in the 42 non Fury fights is pretty ridiculous, but you'd think he'd want to learn to keep his hands up.

it's funny that if wilder didn't skip leg day and stole the skills of fury, he'd be a taller Mike Tyson.

Numerous fights where Wilder was outboxed for rounds and rounds, yet dug himself out with purely power and sometimes a jab; Molina, Spilzka, Washington, Ortiz II, Fury I (Fury being WAY more skilled than the previously mentioned). Guess that streak had to end eventually. He was put down really hard when he was early in his pro career from some old no one. 10 fights in or so.

So many basketball & football analysts talking about this fight acting like they know what happened, it's laughable. Max obviously knows his boxing. British coverage was dramatically better, as to be expected. It's good to see it getting talked about though, cannot complain about that. Curious what the PPV numbers will look like.

Fury's dad spot on here. As is Malignaggi. Steve Bunce is arguably the best in the business.

Something was up with Fury's gloves in that fight though.

A commission rep watches the taping and signs off on the handwraps and gloves (literally, on the wrist). It's extremely unlikely there was anything shady with the equipment.

That thing with the gloves happened a lot in the first fight too. It's his double jab where the first jab goes in and the second is like a short backhand. Just makes it look like his glove is all floppy because of it.

Yea the gloves dont look unwieldy or anything, so it is strange. I didnt accuse him of anything illegal, just I've never seen that.
