Darv doesn't need the boost if he's using a normal attack making Dandelga the better option since Black Lance only functions on normal attacks. Between the other weapons, hit spheres, Ishir's, and Evil Shards/equivalents I'm not sure I'll ever equip the thing to be honest. It might get slotted on a B team v a trial where you actually want to be using more than one squad but if you have the other current end game spheres it just kind of falls flat. If I didn't already have Maxwell I would probably have used it on Zelnite but there's no content atm where it's worth a slot. Maybe for Cardes but I haven't bothered to look that fight up yet.

For Raids/Cardes it's good to have a debuffer. It's not required but it helps a good bit from what I understand.

Yeah, I couldn't figure out a use for this sphere either. It's kind of the same as the Malice Jewels, to be honest. With the GGC spheres, do I really even give a shit anymore? Dandelga on Darvanshel is automatic. Drevas on my status null is too. Lexida on Zelnite, or whatever unit replaces Zelnite in the distant future is a sure thing too. I guess Malice Jewels on the other two units if I don't care about figuring out what to give them.
I may get 5 Malice Jewels for stuff where you need to bring a 2nd squad, but really, I just don't see a whole lot of content that it'd get used on. The only other reason I'll do it is just to make raids have an actual purpose.
now it feels sort of like when i got the legwand from the last FH. getting the sphere just for the accomplishment of getting it, although steamrolling through GGC doesn't feel like as much of an accomplishment as getting 1.3m on terminus without a maxwell/crit team.

lol don't even think about nuking with ulkina, you'll be praying that your healer has bb up every round, did you sphere frog a healer? or rather tree/ulkina? cuz drevas/evil shard makes bb every round a reality (and fujin when your SOL)
wait did you do all GGC yet? you should do at least vargas for the dandelga and put it on darv. and lance for the drevas to put on tree/ulkina, it's also 30% buff and you really need as much hp as you can.
I also think you should switch out elza for a bb fixer like a zelnite.

I am terrible at Maxwell and have just learned to accept it. It is either RNG and him just focus firing down people, BB not refilling, blah blah. Last attempt was:

you don't have a lillith or rowgen? i think luther might work if you don't have either one, and at least better than dilma since luther's BB damage modifier is higher. when i ran maxwell i made sure to keep using darvashel's BB every chance i got regardless of the turn. in fact the only time i ever paid attention to the turns was when i was close to killing her and made sure i killed her right after sacred song

It's been done with every healer. You probably want tree to have an easier time 1 squading the mini bosses.

Just one squaded Maxwell. Grahdens lead, Lily friend, Ulkina, Darvenshel, Rowgen, and Zelnite. Brought the basic heal pot, Fujins, and both the 75% res and 1% res pots. Used all but 2 heals, and 1 each of the fujins and res pots.
Now to level up and max out bb/sbb. Already sphere frogged.
