Decided to say fuck it and try for a Tridon, since it really is just a sickly OP unit. Had to do 10 summons, which was annoying, but I ended up with a good number of new units.
Lucca (L), Ciara (G), Reeze (A), Signas (L), Elulu (B). Dupes were Elimo (B), Lilly (L), Ronel (B), Garnan (B), Lira (L). My Tridon came out as Anima. Just need to farm up some evo mats now. Have 0 gems and summon tickets left.

only had 5 gems so decided why not, got my 3rd rowgen, it's a breaker so i guess i will have to level him up and frog sphere this one (my other two were lords). I can't complain cuz my wife then pulled 2 ramna's so fuck that.
so far it seems that tweaking my group in arena has paid off 5-0 so far
it feels like i cannot have 2 rowgens together, they seem to wtf pwn the same target with their ai so i spread them out

I am pretty new to this game. I started a while ago during some 4 star summon event, but then dropped the game for a few months. It seems fun but has a ton of hidden mechanics that go into unit interactions and such. I was saving all of my gems for another 4 star or better event, and when this came around decided to buy a few more since the game seems and I don't mind throwing them a little money.
Now since I am low level, 35, I don't think I can get the Hydrloid needed for Tridion's 6 star evolution. I managed to beat the first encounter in Abyss event, but that was extremely rough, took forever, and the second even I just could not out damage Hydraloids regeneration. So I guess I am wondering if I am just screwed out of Tridion's 6 star form forever, or will I have a chance in the future to pick it up?
Also, this thunder arena event is not noobie friendly. I managed to squeeze out a victory against some level 45 guy, but everyone else is like 5-6 times my level.
I have been trying to read up on some noobie guides but everything seems pretty dependent on what units you pull. Right now I am just focusing on leveling up, and squeezing out victories in the normal arena. I am about halfway to brawler right now. And leveling up my Loch Ness, I just evolved it to Malnaplis.
My ID is: 3763327903, not sure if I should just add people from the first page list or what. Anyways any advice or suggestions on what a noob should be doing are welcome.

i've run thunder vortex on 4 devices this morning ipad/iphone5/iphone crap/s3
and so far it's tolerable, meaning i'll get connection issues on a random device, on the apple devices i have to force quit, so far no issues on droid
case in point you'll see many high levels use this character maxwell
Creator Maxwell - Brave Frontier Wikias their lead which means you'll be able to use her as your friend and she just power levels ppl through, well any 6star character can do that, but more with maxwell.
for instance right now my wife and i are leveling up a crappy account, it's level 80ish now with just bad luck and auto the zones to just get through them. if we die, then we just find our main accounts as a friend and that bring us over the hump, other it's 47 same levelish friends
right now i doubt you'll be able to find a good friend on here, (wait until thunder arena is over) i'm leaving my arena up 24/7 so that means rina will be my lead and from my friends list almost everyone else is doing that too.
but right now, until the 31st ONLY do zones that are 1/2 energy, you'll level faster

Shida 6* finally in today? Would help me clean out my box some.
Farmed 3 wins in Vortex arena with my shitty team just by refreshing until finding some level 70 dude with a 5* Eze lead. Only like 80 pts per victory but the rewards aren't even really worth it

Vortex Arena came back for me. Got enough points (500) to rank up and got a gem as a reward. I didn't even realize that there were rewards for the arena rank as I did so poorly last time.

Will probably at least try to get the 3,000 point gem. Daily ranks and overall tournament rewards are pretty dull / I'll never see the upper tiers.
Oh, and I switched from everyone with Amanos to more HP/BB focused:
Breaker Elulu: Dandelga
Guardian Uda (lead): Amano + Sol Creator (I don't want to keep switching in a Legwand since he's in my normal arena team)
Anima Loch: Leomurg (I think this was called Black Lance)
Breaker Grybe: Hallowed Skull
Anima Rowgen: Amano (trying to max his crit/atk since he can take out a guy pretty easily)
All BB gauges filled after the first turn with 1-2 dead, followed by at least two BBs going off second turn for the win.

I had to sleep when the servers were fucking up late last night, but my team is working really well, i'm 14 and 0 right now, using the blow everyone up strategy. 
Think I posted my team earlier, but it's Rina (lead), Rowgen with Wicked Blade, Loch, Lodin, Grybe (Lexida). I switched out Bran for Loch cuase he BB's more reliably. Rowgen almost always kills somone turn 1, usually hits for like 6-8k , and crits for like 15k rofl. I had 1 match where I killed 4 people on turn 1, was kinda funny... and unfair.
Oh, gonna evolve my Shida and Sergio, forgot they came out today.

My thunder units just do not want to use their fucking BB's. I think Lodin is fucking it up. He's not really worth a shit as a regular arena member. His BB does no damage, so he's basically just there for fill...which I don't feel like I need.
