What i mean is where are these 'side bosses', are they just part of the main story line? or are they in the vortex somewhere that i'm just not seeing, cause i could use 2 gems about now for this summon event.
They are in Quests.
Skramya is in Mistral-Mistral-Egor mountains
Grand Jelly is in Cordelica-Ignia cavern
They open up once you get to a certain point in the normal questline. Read up on the fights before you try, the grand jelly especially needs a specialist team. He goes immune at 50% and can only be hurt by poison and can wipe a whole team after a certain point. As i said i crit/weakness squad jelly to down him in one. The other way involves getting lots of poison status units and seems like a pain.
Still trying to figure out what units to horde my gems for.
Leaders: zelnite*2, felneus, deemo
Null status: ahvel
Def up: oulu
Atk buffer: Michele
Healer: airus (pretty sure this won't cut it)
Crit buffer: none
Spark buffer: deemo
What other roles are needed?
Ive been looking for gaps in my unit list as well. Theres some other niche roles you have missed but they arn't as important.
+elemental buffers for all the elements, like zelban(earth) grah(light +dark) etc etc
Def Ignore is occasionally useful for metal parades/trial of the gods type stuff - units like raydn, zephyr etc.
Boss/single target BB spam leader - Lilly matah seems to be the queen on this.
Single target boss killers - Lilith currently top, Edea,Rickel that sort of thing.
Powerhouse damagers - Luther/elza/kajah/zellha and a million others
Status element debuffers - Sometimes you need something cursed/paralysed/poisoned or whatever - Nalmika can do all status/ other units cover different ones.
Arena specialists - often units with low fill bb gauges and aoe bb - farlon/uda/ophelia/hogar/lira etc etc
