That's the whole point of the white privilege argument. It's a bunch of nonspecific, passive biases that add up to significant benefits in the long run, rather than codified laws that provide specific protections in specific circumstances.

Everyone acknowledges there are differences from the majority. However as you are attempting to prove a 'societal norm' and therefore that a majority of experiences will mimic your vision of reality, you will have to do more than assert yourvery strongfeelings while wagging about your nebulous 'academic' background.
Basically, the observations, feelings and experiences of minorities and women in this thread are quantifiable evidence. While the observations and experiences of white males such as "women get paid the same as men at my company" or "we passed up plenty of white guys to hire a black woman" is anecdotal evidence to be disregarded.

I'm not actually attempting toproveanything. I said from the start that 'white privilege' is a bullshit term to begin with. I'm just proposing arguments that might not be considered by a group of people who share a relatively homogeneous white male perspective on society.
3 of those are private enterprises. The remaining one, affirmative action doesn't work anything like how most people imagine it works. Specifically, most people don't realize that quota systems are expressly illegal in the US.
