.) men more or less do ALL of the manual labor. I know that if I ruled everything the first thing I would do would be to make society in such a way that I have to do all the fucking hard back breaking work.
.) men are a vast majority of suicides. Gee those stupid fucking men, they built society for their own benefit at the expense of women and they cant even stand to live in it.
.) men are more likely to be the victims of every type of violence except spousal homicide.
.) often times it is pointed out that black folks are more likely to be charged and convicted of crimes, more likely to face jail time, and face harsher sentences. This is proof of an institutional bias in the justice system. It's called racist as it should be. Well men as a group are more disadvantaged when compared to women in those catagories than black people are when compared to whites. The justice system is not only racist, it's also misandrist.
.) men graduate at lower rates at every level of education that women.
.) DV/IPV is nearly gender symmetrical, with much of the violence being mutual, a majority of it being initiated by women, and yet almost all resources go towards women, and many if not most (not sure never seen a statistic on this part) of those shelters outright ban men.
.) men are the majority of work place fatalities.
.) men work 56% of the hours worked
.) even though men work 56% of the hours and make 56.5% of the money (a 77 cent wage gap would mean that that dollar the 77 cents is being compared to makes up 56.49% of the total, 1.77) the wage gap is still seen as a major issue that requires legislation, that proves patriarchy etc. surely the .49% men make can be explained with other variables like, how many consecutive years they've been working in the same field, what fields they choose to go
b.) people, mostly feminists, will point out that women make less because they spend more time with the children. but surveys have shown that fathers would spend more time with their children if they could... but they have to work. And lets be honest. would you rather be at work or with your kid
.) sometimes people will point out how gender roles negatively affect women, what they often don't realize is that de jure or de facto restrictions on women, like being forced to be a house wife back in the day, had de facto restrictions on men. if women were forced to be house wives then men were forced to be providers as a result. restrictive gender roles hurt everyone, not just women.
b.) if you wish to claim that gender rules harm men but oppress women, give proof. No I do not accept "cuz patriarchy" as proof, thats circular reasoning.
.) Male genital mutilation is still legal and common
.) men most often lose their children in divorce.
.) Men have no reproductive rights, if it is wrong to force a woman to be a mother for 9 months, then its wrong to force a man to be a provider for 18 years.
.) Men can be put in prison if they don't pay child support or alimony.
.) men do not have the right to a paternity test if they are on the hook for child support, for some reason this is seen as a womens rights issue, a privacy issue even though the man has to pay money or go to prison.
.) men cannot be baby sitters, day care workers, preschool, elementary school teachers, or other wise wish to spend time with children, sometimes even their own children, without being suspected of being a child abuser, child rapist, pedophile etc. Even in cases where the man did not seek it out. For instance when there is an unaccompanied minor traveling, if they are seated next to a man, that man will be moved and a woman put in his spot. even though......
.) women are the majority of child abusers, and yet men are seen as a threat to children.
.) when women fuck up it's the fault of society, of patriarchy, of men. When men fuck up it's their own fault.
.) women women are victimized, it's the fault of society, of patriarchy, of men. When men are victimized they are largely ignored, blamed, or it's treated as a good thing (like when a boy is raped by his teacher people often comment how awesome and lucky the kid is. )
.) even though the CDC reports near equal levels of rape of men and women (if you count being forced to have sex against your will as rape which I do but some feminists dont, like the feminist the CDC consulted who conviently defined rape in such a way so as to exclude male rape victims into a catagory of "other sexual violence"), throw in prison populations and men are the majority of rape victims, and yet some people claim it's impossible for women to rape, that rape never or rarely happens to men. male victims also don't get nearly the same level of resources as female victims.
