Video games cause mass shootings, D&D leads to devil worship, sex education and access to contraception leads to kids having sex, etc. So here we go again. Some people said some horrible things on the internet. So now there's a gamer culture and it's to blame because just shut up and give my article more hits so we can make more money.

I'm not even saying white people are assholes, I'm saying if a white person chooses to label non-white-guy problems as "imaginary", he can absolutely get away with it. I do think Anita Sarkesian gets harassed way too much and in many ways I agree with at least part of her message. Games do tend to favor men, with male main characters and always rescuing females. When any changes are made that might make some games more friendly to new demographics, like a "story mode" for games, many gamers react like their games are being destroyed. The silly uproar over a "just story and no fighting" mode in dragon age 2, or anders asking out other male characters. The outrage over that shit is absurd.
