Jim Norton is not very good at explaining what he seems to actually mean. I've heard him talk about rape jokes in multiple interviews... and honestly what he means is "context matters" and "artificial taboo promotes bad behavior rather than inhibiting it". What he says is, "Well, if you're just joking around then sure!!"

He is not the most eloquent man I've ever heard speak. It generally takes him about 15 minutes to get around to saying what could be said in 30 seconds.

So what? He invented monster rain.

I did the pair of classes necessary to enter into the teacher's education program at the college I was going to (before just graduating with the majors I had already completed when my aid ran out) and the amount of people that were in that program between the two classes that I thought should be teachers was in the single digits. As I sit here and think about it I can really only remember a single one and he was a 1st generation immigrant. There was maybe one math major and everyone else was social studies or elementary education or other garbage. Oh, and the immigrant guy was going to teach Spanish.

It did not fill me with a great deal of hope for the future.

So the huge story of the gang-rape of a college student by an entire fraternity at UVA is looking like it might be dodgy. Still could be legit, but might have been straight made upStephen Glassstyle.

Pretty much best case for the writer is that she just didn't do due diligence but the core of it is true. If its fake, yikes.

There are folks calling for this to fall one way or the other: As the people in the story are easily identifiable, either detain/arrest/charge them or call on this writer to recant, because wholly shit if this took place these guys need to go to jail, and if not, the writer needs to be run out of town.

Yep, seems to be plenty of reason to at least detain and question some men. The details in the story surely are enough to pinpoint some people, as the article points out. If they are guilty, people need to be brought in asap.
