I knew a guy I used to work with back when I was like 17 or some shit, he was like 17 at the time dating some 15 yr old. Totally consensual, both high school kids and they both worked with me at the time. Well her parents found out, went after him and he got 5 yrs for statutory rape. I think I heard a story about a guy in my high school who spent a night in jail because he was banging this one girl. I'm assuming that they scared him soft.

I knew a group of guys that raped a poor girl on the internet until she begged to have her account deleted but they still wouldn't do it.

How is that wrong on his part? I had a 15 year old girlfriend when I was in 17 High School. There is nothing wrong with it at all and it was not uncommon. Perusing legal action is some seriously messed up shit.

In California, if a guy is 18 and a girl is 17, and they have sex, that's statutory rape, and it can be reported as late as ten years after it happens, because the 17 year-old "can't consent." It's a very strict law.
