Ok, so, are there cases where it is documented to have happened that a woman showed up battered and abused and the cops said, you were asking for it? That was the original question.

Shrug -- I'm perfectly fine with a private school saying: ("If you want to be a student here, we will tell you what you can do on your private property.") Let the market figure it out, if students are okay waiving their first amendment rights to attend then that's fine. Not sure what I think about administrators for state schools or JCs infringing upon protected speech.
