Living in Oregon, camping is an actual thing. I've done it nearly yearly since as early as I can remember.

Tents... you don't need to spend a lot on a Eureka tent that will last you forever.

Ground tents are old tech. Get a hammock tent, sleep off the ground/dirt/bugs/rocks, get the most comfortable sleep out of a bed, save a ton of weight......works anywhere with trees.
Honestly dont know why they even make traditional tents anymore.

Yeah, a hammock tent is going to be excellent for housing his family of 4. Great call. He's looking for a car camping tent. Not a super light, single person, backcountry shelter.

I bought a 10 person Ozark on sale at wallyworld but quickly returned it after I put it up and realized it was way too big. Some of the parks I frequent don't have much space.

I should convert the back o my minivan into a bunk
