yeah MCU ends with End Game for me, I'll watch any future ones if they get good reviews from the few people I trust on youtube but I expect it all to be mediocre trash ala CW tv shows. Which is fine, i'll have 10+ movies to rewatch forever and nothing they do can ruin the combo of Cap1-3, Thor3, GOTG1, and Infinity War in my mind - that was a hell of a long story arc that really has no competition at all. Lord of the Rings and the OG Star Wars trilogy come close but those are 3 movies vs 7-10.
I just hope they put the 22 MCU moves that bookend Iron Man and End Game into a cool 4k collectors edition or something, maybe a giant Thanos gauntlet with a middle finger up.
I am more interested in whats going on with Disney TV, they have Mandalorian and mini series covering Loki, Scarlet Witch, Vision, and a few others. I half expect them all to be dumpster fires but who knows.

Watched it. I liked the movie. Mid tier for me. Fairly entertaining. Definitely a girl-power type movie. I really liked the 90s nostalgia. The technology of making people look young.... is damn insane. I think that stood out to me the most. Brie Larson, ignoring all the SJW-femme shit she does in RL, she felt extremely bland and really didn't do much. I understood she was told to suppress her emotion at the start...but that never really changed even near the end. I dunno, they could have picked any other blondey out there and probably would have done at minimum the same level of acting without the PR disaster.
Seeing the boys at the end during the first post credit stinger....holy fuck. Bring on End Game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did you mean Thor 2? Thor 3 was amazing, hilarious, bizarre worlds, badass (female!) villain, Thor gets a power upgrade, etc. It was one of the most fun films in the Marvel series!

Brie and her antics had no effect on the box office. The everyday MCU movie goer didn't give a shit about this because there is so much outrage it's just background noise nowadays. The only effect is one side got outraged and the other side got to say "look you were wrong, suck it."

Probably not a huge effect on the box office...but even just from these forums a few people said they weren't going to see the movie because of her. And I doubt that's only limited to these forums. The point initially was that she doesn't really bring a whole lot to the character through her acting or anything, so why not go for someone that has less disliked publicly?

Wonder woman was awesome. Captain marvel sucked. So don't tell me its due to cultural war. Just straight up sucked, her acting was terrible. Plot was a mess. Marvel is grasping for straws man. Rip

I thought this was on par with Wonder Woman. WW is great for like the first 2/3rds then falls apart at the end. Captain Marvel had some meh moments but overall I was just as entertained.

I don't think a single person here said it wouldn't do well at the box office. The argument was always about the hypocrisy of outrage in Hollywood, and how little self respect a lot of men have where they allow outrage culture and then do nothing when they should be angry. The box office stuff was a straw man to try and claim some victory out of bullshit--that was never the conversation. Americans swill down soft drinks and fast food that literally kill them, if you think they will pass up average entertainment just due to pride, you're nuts. The proles just don't care. The only reason the SJW shit often ends up killing markets is because they often can't resist making stories/products suffer in order to preach more (But that wasn't the case here, unlike the last Jedi.)
