Go test drive a Fiesta ST. You can get those for around 9k used these days and still one of the most fun cars you can buy.
I believe that as a modern miata, but was looking for faster than the veloster. I am also curious how a bigger engine handles at idle and creeping in 1st gear. Kinda like my 650 could stall much easier than my big liter bike.

GO TEST DRIVE IT. The RS has way more power but many think the ST is a more fun car, Matt Farrah which is an annoying v8 only guy sold his RS and went back to the ST due to how fun it is to drive all the time.

Actually, just saw the new 2020 Vette.... may save 1-2 years for this instead. Makes me relive my Audi R8 love. Failing that sounds like my dad may be getting one.

Sludig Sludig yeah Nissan has not given any interior love to the Z, yet they have gone through 2 generations and refreshes of the Versa....

because Z's still sell at their same pace and refresh generations give them only a small bump - while new econo's are teh bread n butter...

So... the wife wants me to sell my little Nissan Leaf and get a "big car, for the children"

I still want a Volvo XC90, because....they are the most comfortable car for my big & tall self... but gosh darn can those things go down in price? Newest & current generation started in 2016 - and a 2016 standard equipment Momentum T6 was MSRP 45-50k and they are 50k+ miles in mid 30's.... Yet I can go look at a 2018 Buick Enclave that is MSRP of 55k and they are sitting at 20kmmiles and 30k...

I have found some in the 25-27k range but they are up there in miles... heck some pushing 100k.... but I know "Volvo, its good for 300k!"

My target is <20k OTD after my "trade/sell" of the leaf- the leaf is 4-5k trade in and 6-7k private party. I have 7 months (hint hint) to find a better car, for the children! lol

So.. yeah I think during the turn of year or end of year I should be able to find a XC90 that is around 50k miles and in the low 20's to get me to 18-19k

I would do a current gen XC60 - but they are litterally only a few grand less MSRP than 90's and holding their value the same, - and their new/current gen started in 18...so they are all newer..

I may just get a past gen XC60...not as nice inside, decent comfort (if the new 90 is a 10/10 the last gen 60 is a good 7.5-8) - I can find decent ones floating around the 15-16k mark...

rotated tires, one of those bolts was superstuck, ended up being seized and then stripped (i'd later google to learn it's called a wheel stud), only 3bucks guess i make a trip in the morning to replace.

Depending on the car you can hammer them out of the hub and put a new one in from the back, ez pz. Other cars you have to remove a bunch of shit to get to them.

Wheel studs are also important so don't cheap out, get the real deal.

whelp getting behind the wheel to remove the entire caliper has shown me, i should invest in a gearwrench flex head set.

Don't cheap out on them they are just the shit that holds your wheels on. Get the OEM ones, I dunno what you got but they should be real grade 10.9 shit. Make sure of what you are buying.

I hit a speed bump today while driving about 3 mph, it scraped my bumper. My car is low but meets all regulations and passed technical control without any remarks.

I'm going back to that spot next weekend, taking pictures, and putting in a complaint for repairs or replacement.

Annoys the fuck out of me.

Basically this and a sports car combined:

If anyone likes to see how cars (stock and slightly tuned) perform, I like the AutocarsNL channel a lot.

Its mostly just a guy driving a car on the autobahn, showing how the car performs and testing the top speed. It also gives a good image of the interior, and most importantly, the sound of the car.

This is an MTM tuned Audi S4, I think it performs really well for the money, compared to the RS4. The nav screen looks like it is glued on the dash, so minus for that.

With a new baby coming in April my wife is wanting me to sell my 2012 leaf and get something "bigger and safer"

Right now eyeing a 1st gen Volvo XC60 - wanting to get one under 10k

I would love a 16+ XC90, but I cannot really find one that would have me end up sub 20k

The leaf is surprisingly worth what I paid for the silly thing (its paid off so its all just $) private party its 6500-7500 and trade in its 5-6k.

I have been eyeing a private sale 2013 Volvo XC60 loaded 101k miles and he is asking 11k - now listed (updated 2 days ago) as 10750. - I am kinda torn between jumping on that now (hopefully getting it for sub 10k) - or waiting and keeping an eye on 2016/17 XC90 prices. I have seen a 2016 XC90 listed for 25k @ 80k miles... so I figure if I keep on waiting another 4-5 months the 90s may get down to low 20's more commonly - and I estimate my leaf's value will tick down less than the average used price of the XC90s... by then I expect my trade of the leaf to be 4/4500 and private around 6 vs 7.

Bought a 2019 Nissan Frontier Pro 4x4 this weekend. Super sporty, sun roof, leather seats, Fosgate stereo system, substantial roof racks, and can tow 6800 lbs. It's got the Intellitrack system in the bed and I'm looking for cool ideas to trick it out. I really want to get it set up for beach/surf action where I can set up some big surf rods for shark/bull red fishing. Taking it to Padre next weekend and want to see how far down the beach I can get it.

And hopefully you got a good deal on it. It is one of the oldest models needing a refresh in that size of truck, chevy ford toyota all have "new" trucks that size in the last 3is years and that poor nissan still looks like a 1990's ol'truck inside... and drives like a truck, I had one as a loaner for a few days. They are good trucks, but they are TRUCKs not this "fluffy happy car-truck" that modern trucks tend to feel like.

Toyota sure doesn't. Both of their truck platforms are super dated. They have had mild "refreshes" that arn't much more than a spritz of cologne aka slight body panel changes. Same engines, tranny etc for ages. This last couple years added a few electric upgrades. Year after next's tundra is supposedly a real update.
