It will take some getting used to dodging/parry.

The game is damn immersive though and I have just done the intro and just landed the expedition.

Saw some comments Dualshock might not work on PC. My 8bitdo works great though so thats nice.

Haven't seen any issues on Series X and my OLED so far. I already had all the Motion Blur, Chromatic Abomination, Vignette, and Film Grain stuff shut off and that transferred over from my PC savegame. Shimmering due to the shitty TSR/XeSS options, and solid black artifacts in hair and other transparent textures are gone, and performance mode appears to be holding 60 fps fine, so I'm happy with it for now.

You can grind/level/outgear everything to a point that you can just fail all the QTE sections and most parry mechanics and still do just fine

Got to the first "tough" monster and failing the QTE miserably. The delay attacks fucks with my brain.

I had forgotten Shadow Hearts even existed. I recall the game, but never bought it/played it. Or if I did, I don’t remember. Was on PS2

Well almost 4 hours flew by like that, thought I had played 2 hours tops.

Takes a while getting used to timings on monster attacks for sure, but I seem to improve a bit. Will no-life it this weekend!

Epic preset with DLSS quality gets me about 50fps on my 3070 but my GPU and VRAM are maxed out.

Out-of-my-ass assumption about the story based only on the prologue and expedition intro:
The Paintress is probably "saving" everyone she Thanos snaps in some roundabout way and we will realize this in the final acts.

Yeah, the performance on epic settings felt like it was optimized for a 9070XT on a 1440p monitor.

Locked frames at 60, set DLSS to balanced and now I'm getting a smooth performance with 75% GPU use on Epic preset. Feels pretty good now.

I am leaning toward the QTE being more beneficial to combat than not. Turn based gets so boring after a while.

Runs great - Epic everything 1440p - DLSS at Quality getting about 80-100 fps.

This game is really good so far. Not sure what the heck is going on at the moment but story is pretty cool and unraveling as I go through.

If people get sick of the QTE you can enable automatic QTE in battle (on offenses only).

really enjoying this so far, i can definitely see the offensive based QTEs getting annoying later on but i enjoy the defensive aspects of the parries

You can run DLAA and get smooth gameplay, the 50 series is overkill for this game, at least with my 5070ti experience. The bloom / super bright fog just kills the experience for me though.

Good and fun game, tbh. Though I'm playing on PS5 Pro.

Am I an idiot? Game doesn’t show in the store via ps5, no matter which words I search. Had to go on the ps app on my phone and then it showed up right away. Pleasantly surprised this game is only $50 and not $60-70. Between this and Oblivion I think I’ll be set for a long time.
