Yea, same here. Not sure if this would be a spoiler, but just in case:
Act 2 really opens things up, as you can travel to more places with even more later on at some point. I am a bit disappointed that several of the side locations are nothing more than walking into them to grab an item. If they could have developed ALL the side areas, that would have been amazing since all the developed side areas have been great.

ya i've been overall pleased with most of the side zones, but the zip in and grab a vinyl is kinda weird that they even bothered constructing an entire area for it/spoiler]

It's good so far (5 hours). Best JRPG since lost odyssey (I don't like Persona). There's some janky graphics but the world and battle system more than make up for it.

Anyone killed the 3rd Petank? The one that summons reinforcments. Not even close killing him, must be doing something wrong.

Just started on this. This impressively done. The story is kinda weird but at least it's interesting and the characters are good.

Combat is compelling and the soundtrack is great.

Parry counter attack damage was insane for me. Power up with Gustave, +parry damage on counter mod and went down quick.

Edit: Saw a review comparing it to Lost Odyssey, which is funny because I remember that one being really good and coming out of nowhere. It was more Final Fantasy than any new releases.

It runs decent but it does not look very good. It gets really downscaled or whatever and seems mega blurry.

They said they wanted to optimize for SD though so maybe at a later date.

Goddamnit. Lost Odyssey was the last jrpg I played, and I loved it. I thought about picking up the new final fantasy 7 remake when it goes on sale the summer because I haven't played it since high school.

Now I'm halfway tempted to get this game. I just don't like most of the new jrpgs but you guys post about, like I just kind of grew out of it.

Is this one pretty seriously Lost Odyssey?

Go turn off the DLAA that it defaults to, makes the entire game look like dogshit.

Looks fucking incredible on normal DLSS with no resolution scaling
