I enjoy the actual finalizing of the classes, so we can stop talking about rumors, who is flipping who, etc, but the little press conferences have become ridiculous. I don't need to see some kid with a stack of hats in front of him pretending to put one on, and then switching to another at the last moment. That shit is dumb.
Blame ESPN, their programming today had televised press conferences of all the top 20 recruits that hadn't hard-committed yet, all about 15 minutes apart, ESPN planned it out well for maximum visibility.

UCLA has been killing it this morning. Also got a 5 star TE to choose UCLA over Michigan. Hopefully keep our beating USC streaking going with this talent.

We had 1 player that technically flipped from us to LSU, but he's about to have a boatload of qualifying trouble, so no big loss. Apparently he attended a high school owned by Deion Sanders, LOL.
LSU flips Missouri WR commit Brandon Martin
Martin was a student at Deion Sanders' Prime Prep Academy charter school, which the Texas Education Agency shut down last week due to financial mismanagement. Junior college might be an option for the Under Armour All-American if he fails to qualify academically.
Not a good sign when your high school gets shut down by the state mid-year.

That QB, Kai Locksley, is interesting. Seems like a lot of big programs were recruiting him as an athlete and planned on converting him to another position, I wonder if he'll stay as a QB at Texas or end up as a WR or Safety or something before it's all said and done.

He was mostly being recruited as a qb. He has the talent to play a bunch of positions though. Son of a college coach. FSU wanted him as qb and Jimbo knows qbs.
And no, Texas won't move him. He has massive upside, he needs time to develop though.

Westwood is not a shithole in the slightest. East LA around USC can be bad, but not around UCLA. Also perfect weather. Why do we always end up aruging in this thread? Peace love and college football.

It used to be OK. LSU used to throw a big party for fans with lots of media there at the casino and cover all the signees all day. Now with the internet no need to attend that and I think it fizzled out.
