Why do the butthurt S-E-C haters think that the committee, with its membership representing every region of the country, decided to proclaim the S-E-C the college football master race?

They don't own a network. They've most likely never been to an Ole Miss game, let alone cheer for the team. In fact, I think we can all agree that it is in most of the committee member's interests not to put 3 S-E-C teams into the playoff, but they told you that if the season ended today, that is exactly what they'd do.

Do you think it is at all possible that they took an objective look at the season up to this point and decided these were the best teams in the country? Or.... What? Are we bribing Condoleeza Rice? I can't even keep track of the latest tin foil hat conspiracy theory.

You're right, I bet Condee Rice has never been to an Ole Miss game... or a Florida State game, or been to Austin for a Longhorn game. But I bet she watches the games on ESPN just like the rest of the committee. And if you don't understand how that can color their opinion, then you really are a fucking moron.

The committee heavily favors current rankings by the multiple sites, primarily the AP polls and Coaches Polls in there decisions. Do you honestly think they examine objectively each and every game?No, they go by the polls, "big games" and the scores compared to the rankings each team had (they however don't go into why those teams have those rankings to begin with). Doubt they really go into OOC games, you also have to remember, the SEC plays only 11 OOC games compared to the ACC's 16 and B1G's 18(?). That's is one of the major issues the Rolling Stones article brings up. Your playing ranked teams in your own conference (SEC), but why are each team ranked as such to begin with? Why does a loss to a ranked team by let's say a field goal knock an ACC team down 10+ ranks, but only knocks a SEC team down 4 rankings? Or a loss to another ranked by a field goal in the ACC drops you down 10, but an SEC win against a non top-25, ranked 60 team may move you up a point or 2? There is a complete and utter lack of common sense that is heavily favoring the SEC.


It is basically calling out the lack of consistency as a whole. I do believe the SEC has the better teams at the top (Bama, modern-day AUBURN, Georgia (typically), LSU (not this year however; there most recent win was against an overrated team). But they are incredibly top heavy. Some of these ranked SEC teams have no wins (or wins that arent against overrated/overranked teams) or anything to deserve their rankings throughout the year.

Yet again, I repeat. The SEC has probably the best 3 teams in the nation in MY opinion (even outside of rankings), so I am not a SEC hater, more of a realist. However, that does not give leeway to the issue at hand of bias, agenda, and inconsistency in football media attention, playoffs, bowl games, and rankings.

The committee's selections were already a laughing stock, but this just takes the cake.

ROFLMAO... already this committee has ZERO credibility. Such a shame too, because college football has, to my mind, the best regular season of any major sporting league, including any pro league.

Wisconsin(B10), West Virginia(B12), Arkansas(SEC), USC(Pac12), and Clemson (ACC) ADs, the former Big East commissioner, a former AD of Nebraska(B10) and a former provost of Stanford(Pac12). Each major conference has roughly 2 people on the committee with ties to it.
