Let's be real here though, "bowl eligible" is a way to make everyone get a participation trophy so more stupid corps could slap their name on some shitty bowl. With most teams playing 2-3 complete shit teams to start the year, you only need to basically go .500 to make it.

Retarded system is retarded.

But, because SO many teams make bowls if you fail to make one you had a shitty, shitty year. Making a bowl definitely isn't a sign that a team is overly good, but not making one definitely means you had a bad year. And more East teams missed them, than made them. It was a bad division this year.

You could probably argue that the SEC as a whole was down. Once the new rankings come out today there will probably only be 3 SEC teams ranked in the top 25(Bama, Florida, Ole Miss) although there is a chance LSU might get back in(they were only out by a few spots last week). That has to be the lowest amount of ranked teams at the end of the year in a long, long time.

So what this tells us is that Ohio State should be in the playoffs over whatever team ends up winning that shitty conference? I like your logic; much better conference, better quality loss, same record....Bama should definitely stay home if the committee has any credibility!

Richts downfall was hiring Brian Schottenheimer. Daddy got son a job and he has been shit everywhere in the NFL, then gets demoted to college where he is no surprise, shit at Georgia this year. Talent all over the roster, 86th in offense.....color me shocked.

Richt deserves to be fired for being that stupid.

Hard to deny. Imagine how shit the program is if Grantham stays and/or Pruitt doesn't make the phone call himself, a week off of winning a natty, saying he wants to be your DC. Richt didn't hunt that hire down. It came to him.

Richt said "we can't win because we aren't spending the money". Then he gets the money, buys himself a big steel barrel, and burns it. Sad to watch, but this is the right move so long as you make the right hire.

I can't see Muschamp just swapping SEC schools for the same position. He'll stay put at Auburn until he gets another HC opportunity(or until the whole staff gets fired). There's definitely no way Muschamp goes to become a DC for a team head-coached by an ex-DC, they'd butt heads way too much. Muschamp wants the defense to be his, and no way would that happen under Kirby Smart.

That's one of the dumber rumors I've heard lately, makes zero sense in any possible way. Thats like Chip Kelly coming back to college and hiring Gus Malzahn as OC.

Thought it was funny last night when Muschamp got a 15 yard penalty for cussing at the ref.

The poor man's Mack Brown finally fired. As long as Georgia stays away from Herman, hire whoever you want. Strong is available, we will even subsidize his salary.

It makes sense if he hates Malzahn and his rinky dink offense, which is the scuttlebutt. He and Kirby are bros. Makes all kinds of sense.

Tom Herman was in charge of recruiting the Atlanta area when he was at OSU. If I'm Georgia I'm offering him the world right now.

Looks like Virginia Tech is hiring Memphis' head coach. That is a very good hire.
Former OU quarterback Justin Fuente. My hope is that he proves himself to be very capable in the Power 5 and OU comes knocking once Stoops calls it quits.

I'm late here and didn't watch the game but why did Texas think TT was V forming with 2:45 left in the game with 5 TOs on the board?
