I've honest to god met multiple kansas fans that insist that they won both the basketball and football national championship that year.
The most memorable one was when some friends and myself were at a bar watching March Madness the day that kansas lost to Northern Iowa on that Faroukmanesh 3 pointer. kansas fan sitting a table over from us got all pissy when my table full of Mizzou fans cheered heartily when that happened. Yelled at our table "get back to me when your school wins a national championship in football and basketball in the same year". To which we replied "...let me know when yours does too", and he proceeds to inform us that it just happened in the 2007-2008 season. We were all just dumbfounded for a moment...
A lot of kansas fans aren't so good at being football fans...lol

LSU AD is on the hotset/clock now. Apparently the Miles shit started when the top donor of the TAF said he would pony up $20 million and write a check that day for the buyout and hire a new coach. The AD ran with that and reached out to Jimbo Fisher and leaked it to everyone before he had his ducks in a row.
The backer is a "special" case. He goes from Shreveport to Baton Rouge daily (4 hour drive no telling if you fly) to watch the baseball games and such and goes back to Shreveport after each game and travels back for the next day.

The bullshit they caused harmed the program significantly (recruiting) and he deserves to be canned. You simply don't do it like that. They didn't even have a commitment from jimbo they just swung their dicks around in a crowded room hoping to attract someone.

Meh, we promoted our defensive coordinator to head coach, Barry Odom(DC for us, and for Memphis under Fuente, and played at Mizzou in the 90s). Probably the best decision, our defense has been elite the last few years, hopefully he keeps the entire defensive staff together. Now, he needs to clean house on offense, hopefully he makes a good hire there for offensive coordinator.
