I'm glad I don't have to make decisions at that level.
I'm not trying to be flippant about it, but your links show a college kid who died to a blood clot that may have been COVID related and one kid who went to the emergency room but was never admitted to the hospital. If this was doing real damage to collegiate athletes it would be plastered on the front page and prime time chiron of every news outlet. This virus is not dangerous to young people any more than getting sick from literally any other seasonal virus is. If the kids want to opt out due to bad advice, more power to them but we have nearly a year of hard data that definitively shows no college age kids should be modifying their day to day in response to COVID.
The staff is another story and I have no problems with at risk staff doing what they feel necessary to protect themselves. The data shows that the only real thing they can do, though, is quarantine.

Wow, Michigan State pulled it off. Other than that it's kind of a ho-hum football Saturday. Maybe because of all the cancelled bloody games.

Crazy that was Saban’s first miss in 607 games as a coach/assistant. I noped out after the 1st half when it was obvious we had no interest in winning that game. Installed a fan in the master bedroom and decorated my Christmas tree. Was a much better use of my time!
