After watching a full playthrough, corpo V, I have to say that the campaign is a bit disappointing, you got this vast open world, megacorps butting heads, but most of the story is focus on V and Johnny and trying to get the chip out. Sure you make choices that are sort of a big deal but all feels like a big letdown.

I mean V is the protaganist, with johnny literally riding shotgun for a chunk of it, of course they are going to be the focus for the main story. For as far in as I am, you don't see much about the 2 huge corps fighting it out. You hear about it(mainly the corp wars). But it seems mostly around the solo people trying to fight the big companies. You still run into a decent amount of others that join the ride as side characters.

Seems crazy to spoil yourself if you had any chance at playing to watch someone else play the entire storyline and spoil it all for you. Considering that is the focus of the game.

I mean, anyone is a fool if they can't admit that rockstar's engine is far superior when it comes to npcs and vehicles. Like, miles ahead. Graphics too if you throw in some tech inflation considering the age of gta. I'd consider rdr2 graphically equal to cyberpunk.

what they don't have? a sweet dystopian world to fuck around in

The gta style travel is already starting to wear on me.
Driving places? You know there's fast travel.

I'm confused by comments like this. What game were you expecting to play here? Were you hoping for a single skyscraper explorer map?

I am curious how they beat someone right in front of a cop and nothing. I have literally tapped someone with my car barely and police were on me instantly. Those 2 look like the 2 involved with a quest that happens right there, where you have to listen to them talk and then respond. Wonder if because of that they didn't do anything. But yes, there is no complex AI for random NPCs. They seem all just built on scripts with minor variations.

crouch for the rest of their lives if there's a gunshot within 5 miles... in a city where gangs guns and violence is rampant.

ya i'd agree, not very complex hehe

I haven't used that feature yet. I feel like I would miss so much between the 2 travel points. Hell I wish I could zoom out the minimap to see more as I drive by, because unless its right next to the road I will miss it if I don't look at the main map first.

I had to actually give up on my playthrough. I'm surprised nobody else is having this issue but I literally cannot loot half the items I come across. I'll wait a bit for a patch or two and give it another go. Luckily I was only about 2.5 hours in.
It's definitely harder to loot a lot of things than it should be. I find myself having to circle around stuff, find the perfect distance, crouch/don't crouch, etc. in order for the loot window to pop up. Wouldn't say it's anywhere near 50% though, maybe 20% or so. Pretty sure everyone's having the issue, it happens on my own PC and GFN, kb/m or gamepad.

Plus if an item is clipped into the ground by even a single pixel it's completely impossible to loot. That one annoys me a lot more since it's usually a weapon when it happens. Thankfully it's a pretty rare occurrence.

Still don't get that comparison. Aside from being a city with cars in it, the game is not really like GTA at all. It's the Witcher, dystopian future edition, and I'm not sure how anyone could have expected anything different from CDPR.

The graphics in RDR2 aren't even close to the graphical fidelity on display here, just played it on the 3080 as well.

I should note that my critics of cyberpunk don't take away that it's a solid AAA that's worth the money, but that's comparing it to the AAA

graphics were the least important thing about that post. any comments on the other issues?

I know you're very diehard, and i'd agree that this is a "worth the money" AAA game, which is rare nowadays, but there are some serious fundamental flaws for a game coming out of 8 years of one of the last "gamer" game studios who are suppose to be the best.

Well reached Act 2, took me 20 hours. I really enjoy the story so far. Lots of crashes on PS5 though, getting annoying, at least you get back in the game fairly fast.

I'm about 22 hours in atm and I have maybe done a handful of the main quests in Act 2. Soo many gigs and side jobs.

Does the street cred come into play with NPC awareness? People on the street wanting to suck the legend?

Only managed an hour or so in game, still fine tuning my system.

Game no doubt has flaws, nor do they have multiple generations of a dense, open-world game to pull from as Rockstar does... But something about Cyberpunk just feels so much more exciting than say, GTA V, does. The RPG elements, the setting, the world just feels very interesting. It's fresh, if not flawed.

I need some help understanding quick hack costs...

I have 6 Ram currently
I have 2 equipped hacks (yes, i'm still early game)
- Ping - Ram cost 1
- Weapon Glitch - Ram cost 4

when i scan someone i want to do a hack on, the costs go way up and i can't do them
to do Glitch says it'll cost 7 (can't do it)
to do Ping says it'll cost me 4

why the increase in the cost when i want to use these?

You want to always use breach first. Its free and weakens the target and its network. It'll lessen the cost of everything else.

There are also mods, perks and implants that help.
