Do the "assault in Progress" MIssions (blue spiked bat) respawn or just that they open up? I hvae been trying to clear the map and starting to feel like they are respawning or maybe it relates to other areas being completed/lvl/etc.

Does anyone know?

I believe they respawn. It seems if I am in an area they pop up even if I cleared them before.

Assault in progress don’t respawn, but doing blue missions will frequently open up new blue missions. Also, as you do more gigs in a specific region, you will find new missions open up

Ya that makes sense. I am at 50SC and as I go through places shit pops up.

The forum Gavin meme is the angry white knight neckbeard. Lamenting the in-game romance options is pretty on-the-nose, and you do something that plays into your reputation multiple times a week.
The 'romance' just feels completely out of place in this game seeing as how you almost literally have a ticking time bomb in your head, but I guess that's true about 90% of the game since realistically your character should be laser-goddamned focused on taking care of the relic rather than running around fighting crime and doing side jobs. I mean at least the Panam scene makes use of the setting, but the constant cuts in her and Judy's scenes (and I assume in Kerry and River's scenes) bring to mind Genisys and the absurd camera gymnastics they went through not to have nudity on screen despite getting naked for time travel and a sex scene.

Maybe the lack of character development for V makes it hard to write that kind of shit.

I'm also going to echo the criticism that the game is just way, way too easy. I didn't even go for the quickhacking build, I did a Cold Blood build and once you get the perk that gives you armor per Cold Blood stack and the perk that gives you Cold Blood stacks on crit you basically can't die. I empty one SMG clip at any target to max stacks and I get 3000 armor and >50% resistances, all enemy attacks do literally 1 damage each. Use a bounce back surrounded by 8 guys and go get a drink, you don't take damage. It's dumb.

I finally found Skippy. Hate using smart guns because it feels like aimbot, but I love how the gun talks trash sometimes (calling someone a cocksucker in a polite English accent).

Skippy is a blast and only gets better(not dps) later in the game based on some choices you get to make.

Sound off:

How many did not get Satori during the heist?

I've noticed this with some other recent games as well - Valhalla, Cyberpunk etc. Games are just way too easy.

I mean I got one shot by a cyberpsycho last night but that was a gear/level check thing, not an actual difficulty thing.

I thought Horizon had a really good difficulty system. Game genuinely felt challenging at it's higher tiers.

I found Satori because I learned long ago that 99% of the time when a game tells you that you're in a hurry it really means go look in every nook and cranny because there's hidden shit. Unless an actual countdown timer appears on screen, I go wandering and I'd already seen the door that leads up to the helipad when I went up there and found Yorinobu's suit.

What I could never figure out is why there's also a laptop in the AV with a magnifying glass on it that you can't do anything with. Even just scanning it is useless.

I fucking hate that mini/boss encounters don't start until they actually see you and their health bar shows up. Makes quickhacks fucking useless and half the time it's in a tiny square arena where my 7 Body character gets rekt in two hits and I need to find some way to cheese the npc.

Yeah I also hate that the 'make me tougher' cyberware is gated behind higher body scores.

So, I think it's pretty wild that the character creator has you staring at a well crafted penis, or perfectly folded vagina lips... And then has like maybe one sex scene, and the whores are some fever dream flashes that's over in 15 seconds, showing basically nothing.

For a game with a lot of dildos, and exuding sex, there's no sex. It's fuckin weird.

It's not even all of the mini-bosses which is sort of frustrating. Like that weird Maelstrom ritual for one of the cyberpsychos, you can't do shit until she sees you and the fight officially starts. Leaving the small area she's in will cause her to heal to 100%. But then there's several others that I have been able to peek around a corner and KO'd the psycho with quickhacks never seeing the boss hp bar at all. The trick when you get forced into a fight like that is just to always have Cyberware Malfunction loaded because most of the assholes also have Sandevistan OS so it's nearly impossible to shoot them. Cripple Movement might work too if you have at least epic version. Once you have legendary quickhacks, nothing survives for more than a second or two anyway.

I can sort of understand the Body-req cyberware though. I mean, I guess you could fuck yourself if you play a katana/mantis build and try to skip taking Body at all, but that's just kind of dumb. Also, the only real threat once you have a bunch of 150 armor Armadillo mods is elemental damage and melee attacks, both of which seem to entirely ignore armor. You can get around most of those problems by using Cool instead of Body though; with my 8 Body/14 Cool Tech weapon build I've got poison healing me, fire dealing no damage while buffing my own damage, and getting hit with shock/EMP gives me +50% armor instead of doing anything bad. Can't use the bleed immunity one, but there's a clothing mod for that if I ever decide bleed is actually something to care about. I didn't bother taking Cool to 15 because I've heard Cataresist (+35% all resists) doesn't work at all.

Only things you really miss out on by skipping Body are the 60% hp boost, -30% cyberware cooldown, and Second Heart that heals you when you die, and those are things you only really need on a melee build. Biomonitor seems good on paper but it kind of sucks, at least on very hard... most anything that is going to take you down to <15% life is probably just going to kill you outright, and then stuff like Biomonitor and Microgenerator never get to trigger.
