Yea, wasn't sure with the legit thing or not being that I've not played PC, I've heard it's an issue here - PS3 never had a problem with someone being ridiculously out of par with me leveling in a sane fashion not wasting points in stuff that was only good PVE. But key was that you can only have a slight risk higher - didn't mean to imply I was 100% on point, just knew the vague rules kept it in line.Technically it's just +10% +10SL (so up to SL65 when you're SL50) and I don't think there's a bottom limit, which actually makes things harder on low-SL trolls. Covenants have an effect too, I forgot exactly how they work but some of them completely remove limitations. That doesn't really matter though if you're SL30 and someone shows up in your game with DLC spells like dark orb/dark bead/pursuers.
And of course your "legit" assumption is a mighty big one to begin with.
After 200 hours they swing their dicks around TO kill you.I play offline because I have no need to play with a bunch of dudes that have put 200+ hours into the game and want to swing their dicks around by killing me
First week will likely not work at all, will wait for the PC version that uses some kind of hamachi mod.I have not played co-op with a friend, but considering the restrictions (boss must not be dead, level bracket, living host) it should be pretty easy to put a mark down out of the way and just wait until it pops in your buddy's world. At any given time, how many people have all the criteria to allow for a summon? Not that many I would assume.
I don't remember the boss you are talking about, but what I did in the ghost place was basically run through until I was in a good place to fight, then turn around and kill off the train. And then you lower the water and have those holyshit knights to deal with, lol. Good thing those fuckers don't respawn.I just killed seath over 15 minutes with a bow. That fight is beyond retarded. He sprays those curse crystals in 360 degrees around him then immediately has his tail seizure and you die. I watched several YouTube videos of that shit and he didn't do that to them, plus they all killed him in like 10 2handed hits. Close range didn't work, spells didn't work, including the crystal spells that are supposed to be so godly. Most fights I figure out after a while what I'm doing wrong. Usually I'm stubbornly standing back and trying to cast when I should be up close. But this time I tried everything. There is no hole in his game. Get behind, he sprays you anyway. Then immediately seizures and finishes you off
So I said fuck it and killed him with a longbow.
The game is really fun and satisfying at times, but some mechanics are just beyond retarded. New Londo Ruins? Jesus tittyfucking Christ. Ghosts coming through walls that can hit you before you see them, then being unable to hit them with a swing because they're a couple feet off the ground. My god that place was stupid. The game isn't even enjoyable at this point. Deaths that are unavoidable until you memorize shit (spawn locations in new londo, movement patterns, etc) is a really, really dumb way to make things "difficult"
At this point I'm almost done and not even having fun. I just want to beat it because I've come this far
If memory serves, there is an awesome set of light weight armor (Gold Hemmed) that you can ninja from just inside Izalith off the corpse of a dead witch on an altar, just past the Ceaseless Discharge (you dont have to kill it to get to the armor, but it's an easy mini-boss). The armor cant be reinforced but it will take you a ways while you hunt for better. It's a quick run from Queelag's lair.I need to find some decent armor.
Tattered set even for a warrior?Seath is practically immune to magic, andisimmune to bleed/poison/curse. Quelaag's sword/chaos blade, lightning weapons, and/or pyromancy are what you need to bring there. As well as curse resist of your own, obviously. Dingy/antiquated are good choices.
Start the fight by smashing his heart, which stuns him for several seconds and gives you time run behind him. Stay in between two of his three tails the whole fight; the only thing you should ever have to dodge is the tail smash thing he does and the big crystal explosion, and both of those are telegraphed with plenty of time to avoid. Two-hand your weapon with the grass shield on your back, chop his tail off with R2 strikes unless your preferred weapon has a really shitty 2H R2 and throw some Great Combustions his way if you use pyro (also very effective for tail removal, just remember that only the tip counts for tail damage). Done right, it's up there with Gaping Dragon as one of the easiest boss fights.
As for "decent armor" the most important thing is the weight. Other than the handful of fights where poise is useful, the basic rule is, "If it takes you over 25% burden, get rid of it." If you start as a pyromancer and don't want to bother re-optimizing your gear every hour or two, the tattered set will last you the entire game easily. The only time you really need to swap it out is for areas that require curse resist.
