I heard Scholars of the First Sin was better once you reach that content, but I'll be fucked if I can get that far to reach that content anyway. Dark Souls 2 sucked ass. Most agree. It was also made by the B team.

I have higher hopes for Dark Souls 3 - but this is the last Dark Souls. So... It better be good. Would like to go out with a bang.

"I don't think it'd be the right choice to continue indefinitely creating Souls and Bloodborne games. I'm considering Dark Souls 3 to be the big closure on the series. That's not just limited to me, but From Software and myself together want to aggressively make new things in the future...Dark Souls 3 is an important marker in the evolution of From Software."

I am sure this isn't the end of games like this from From Software, but they are going to start changing things up a bit instead of copy pasting with changes in mechanics. I am sure they will come up with some good stuff

I am finishing up back log games right now, so I'll try and throw it back in the mix for DS2. I love all the other games. Could have been I played before the PS4 weapon degradation patch and I was just completely frustrated (More so than what I like from the DS games)

Just a heads up that the pc version of DS2 SOTFS is on sale on the Bandai Namco store for $14.99. It's laid out badly and says it will be shipping a product to you but it just emails you a steam key.

I just recently played through most of SOTFS for PS4. Weapon durability seems to suck right at the beginning, but once I started getting good weapons and upgrading it mostly normalized. I typically run around with a 2h sword/club though, so YMMV

Yeah my staff seems to degrade pretty god damn quickly on my Sorc.

Whatever FS decides to do I'm on board, they've put out quality games time after time.

Ok so I took your advice and started again.

For some reason (I have an upgraded Broadsword and playing as a knight) my weapon isn't degrading. Like.... At all. It was for a while and then I rested at a bon fire before I unlocked the blacksmith and all of a sudden it's 60/60 all the time unless I am reading it wrong. I have plenty of other weapons and armor too.

Took out the Last Giant, opened up the secret room and got that sweet Stamina key. I still have to open a few orange doors and find those... Last night was heading over to take out the Dragonrider and had him almost dead but fell off the platform and it was late so I went to bed.

Without the weapon durability deal, this is a lot better. Glad I took your advice.

So after beating Bloodborne a couple times, I started Dark Souls 1 on PC. Game looks like shit after Bloodborne, but I want to beat DS 1 and 2 before I get 3.

Awesome! And you are right in some respects, there are some really shitty decisions they made in this game - overhead tracking on you from bosses/enemies is a big one to me. I still think it's one of the better games of all time.

DSfix looks really good, and I had no problem using it my first play through of Dark Souls. People say you can't dodge as fast etc, but It really didn't effect me.

There's only 2 jumps in the game you need to turn it off imo, and it's very easy to toggle off.

Be warned tho that Dark Souls is a much slower game in general then BloodBorne.

In BB they award you for being aggressive that is not the fact when it comes to the souls series.

Yeah, I've had to train myself to back up after getting smacked instead of trying to 'gain back' like in BB. What are the 'jumps' that DSFIX breaks?

The way back to the undead asylum, shortcut to pinwheel and the drop to the great scthye I've never been able to d at 60fps. Bed of chaos can be done at 60 but is a lot harder.

Waaaay too much of a Bloodborne vibe from the gameplay videos. Am I being too picky or does that bother anyone else? All of the giant, copy/paste models straight from Bloodborne, complete with the full set of exact animations. It's all a little too familiar.

Well they probably used the bloodborne engine and reskinned stuff. I'm ok as long as the world and bosses are interesting

You should watch this one.

Dark Souls 3 - Battle Axe - Full Weapon Moveset + Combat - YouTube

Edit: There is a spot in the video where it looks exactly like the top of the area where you go to head to the sewers in bloodborne. (Right after the Cleric Beast)

Combat looks a lot different though, albeit a lot faster than what we saw in Dark Souls I.

That is awesome to hear on the PC. Really wish they had done a collectors edition for it though. In other news it looks like because of the way licencing works for digital titles on the Xbox store you can install the JP version when it comes out according to thispost.
