Much the same but lesser spawns i guess. Did a 5 hour session, got shitloads of food and fluids, could survive for a week and loads of space and bags, but only got a magnum and ammo. Well, name of the game i guess.
And found like 10 spray cans and 3-4 differrent beretas, running shoes (never seen before) but took up space and you can't paint a magnum, so saw some new content
If anything, that sounds better. It was too easy to get a gun in no time, and then it just turns into DayZ Deathmatch time. Survival was a joke within an hour or two if you knew what to do and where to go. Mainly where to go.

"You are unconscious" mechanic needs some tweaking. Was taking a piss while my kid walked my survivor around at the construction site near Berez. He got shot. Been unconscious for half an hour now. I'm thinking it should be 15 minutes tops followed by death or recovery. This waiting for an arbitrary period shit is burning up my beer supply.

So I found a magpul handguard and a buttstock tonight. Both were worn. A hour or two later I ran across a paint can and remembered the patch notes saying that you can paint these parts. I tried it out and both pieces were restored to pristine status. Not sure if their performance is effected one way or another.

You must have been hit with a mosin round. The hit from hit caused a massive loss of blood instantly, and you kept on bleeding out. While at the same time you took that hit, you shock value bolted right past your blood level. You shock in time does reduce, but since you were also losing blood at the same time from the wound you were not going to be revived unless you had some outside help.
Mechanic was working as intended.

I wasn't suggesting it wasn't working as intended. I was suggesting that the "mechanic needs some tweaking." When I get knocked unconscious, I often have no idea what the cause was so it's not clear to me whether I might wake back up or whether I am down for the count, so to speak. I'm not sure what the answer is but I'm not find of that aspect of the game.
I also don't always understand how you actually get knocked out. I've been in fist fights where I am beating the living shit out of somebody's head and they get me in fewer punches. Last week I was chopping a guy with an axe (he was bleeding) and he managed to knock me out with his fists. Part of playing an Alpha I guess.

Were you wearing any headgear? If not he may have gotten lucky and punched you in the head once or twice and ko'd you.
The down and dirty in my previous post is that you had reaallly high shock from being shot, massive immediate blood loss from being shot, and continued to bleed out at a rate that your shock couldn't catch up and pass your blood levels for you to regain consciousness.
Someone had to have rendered you first aid by giving you blood(has to be the same blood type or you will die within seconds)/saline to increase your blood level, give you an epinephrine pen or hit you with a defibrillator to lower your shock and return you back to consciousness, and then when you get back up bandage you stop the blood loss.
If I am on, and any of yall are in trouble, I do not mind running out to provide medical help. Just log out as quickly as you can so your symptoms don't get worse. If you are bleeding stop that first before logging, because the game will kill your character and you will start over. If you are unconscious do not log out for the same reason.
Found a shotgun in a random house, shot a guy in the face because he tried to put me on my knees at gun point but had forgotten to load his gun( heard the clicking sound), pulled out my SG, right in the face, haha, fun times.
As much as I enjoy SA (for what it is), it's nowhere near playable right now. Having put 200+ hours into the mod, and 30ish into SA, the only thing that SA has for it over the mod is gfx. There's just not enough to do and it becomes a 30-45m run to a base to get gear. Rinse, repeat. The social part is fun, but that's in the mod, along with vehicles and zombies.

Is it really not worth playing right now? I passed up the Humble Bundle with ARMA II on it. Should I be regretting that decision?
Yes. The mod has been modded and tweaked a ton and is insane. I played an hour of SA, and really other than moderately better graphics, it's miles behind Origins/Epoch right now. After playing Origins and vanilla for a year and a half, to me SA is unplayable in it's current form (or it's form in Dec. anyway). The community took what Rocket gave them with the Dayz mod and just kicked it into overdrive.
