Read a news piece saying bb's trailer views were better, looked at youtube

Did a quick count (very quick, just counted ones with more than million views) and sure lots could be from after release. But they don't appear to be that great. Did notice bb's views were pretty high on the non English channels.

Early summer predictions had it making $300-400m worldwide, $125-150m us. Think it is opening during a normally slow period with little competition. Long range forecasts should be out in next week or so. I don't China is suddenly going to be back on board either.

Gunn said beetle is 1st dcu hero, the movie isn't. Rumors are the movie is going to set up

don't think gunn is planning on that.

If it a surprise hit, like shazam 1, maybe get another film, but most likely he will just show up here or there for extra diversity points. Gunn-verse is supposed to fully populated with heroes from the start.

Those views dont seem that bad, seeing as how Flash is a character from Justice League, and Black Adam had the Rock and all his Rocking to get hype for it.

As for Gunn saying its the first movie in the new Gunnverse or whatever, I agree that its just him saying that, cause there is no downside. Allegedly the movie has 0 connection to snyder stuff (and never actually did, no cameos, nothing), so if it is a surprise hit either in theaters or gets legs on streaming, he has something he can continue on with; and if it crashes burns smolders and dies, well, he never has to do anything with it again, cause it has no connections to anything .

Im all for movies about lesser known characters, but this one surprised me. Would of thought Booster Gold or Hawkman would get a movie first.

But I hope its successful enough just for the people involved.

yeah apparently so, looks like it'll be a live action show like peacemaker. is he a god or a monster? he's like a dude from the future who fucks around like deadpool, right?

That Batman logo isn’t sitting well with me, I think this version of DC cinema isn’t going to be of my tastes. I didn’t think GoTG 3 was all that great, it wasn’t bad, but I thought it was just too goofy and silly. If that’s what today‘s audience wants then that’s cool, hope it does well. If doesn’t do well then I hope it crashes and burns spectacularly.

in the comics, it is her 21st birthday, so she might appear to be little to old looking. think the story sucks and tom king sucks.

I dont think it is cast yet, but she is on the shortlist (that may at this point only be her), from what i've seen
