Is it done filming?

Assuming no further escalations, they will probably just dump it on HBO Max, and have the last time he enters the speed force, when it ends, a new actor pops out and the Flash Point ends with us having a new flash, them probably save more money taking the theatrical hit than refilming the whole thing and have a new actor going forward.
filming has completed, but there are always reshoots. if they drop this freak, then it would likely be more extensive with some clever editing to shoehorn in somebody else for those scenes. its not the end of the world, but dropping this turd on HBO Max would be a death sentence for the DCEU.
and WTF further escalations? little kids chewing on bullets at his home, non secured firearms laying around the kids toys, miller assaulting women and grooming minors. how much more escalation needs to happen? do we need dead bodies littering the floor of his house before WB says, "err maybe this guy starring in our tentpole film is a bad idea?"

And Rolling stone isn't a tabloid. They talked to firsthand sources.

WB + Ezra's team are ignoring it like its tabloid fodder. This has not been successful. They need to address it. Reason is multiple arrests lent a ton of credibility to these "first hand sources" that the newspapers are talking to. Without those arrests, they could have ignored it. The arrests changed everything, and now he's under a microscope by big media and they want every second of his life week to week covered. The downfall of Ezra Miller has legs.

GQ just picked it up. That's another major widely circulated men's magazine.

An insider told the outlet that new Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav simply hopes the scandal surrounding Miller stays under the radar until The Flash premieres in theaters in June 2023.

when i was a teen, got a stupid deal a year of rolling stone for like $8. after a year, it didn't stop and went on for 4-5 years. remember after a while didn't read any of it, would just flip through and cut out the ads with hot chicks to hang in my locker at school lol

Why is Ezra Miller even still a thing? Why is Amber Heard still a thing? Is it the cultural double-standard at work? Women and gay trans-ish guys can get away with anything and must be defended at all costs?

Everything you just wrote sounds like The Dream for wealthy elites in the post-police utopia they've fought so hard for ("on behalf of black people" lol)

WB is being dicks, they are trying to ride this out while things get worse and worse every week, they are waiting to the point that this film will either never be released theatrically, or they will have to last minute shoe horn in a bunch of shit reshoots and call it a day. either way this thing will be DOA. if they just replaced miller now, bit the bullet and reschedule a release and do proper reshoots to replace Miller, then it would be ok. just OK

"Still a thing?" What are you even talking about? You just learn that phrase and think it's super clever or something?

They both still exist if that's what you're asking. But very few people are defending either of them.

Neither if their careers are really going great right now.

Heard was possibly shitcanned from her only big role and Miller's movie didn't come out for a full year so no decision needs to be made on him for a while

I mean "still a thing" as in "why are they still planned to be in these movies, and why hasn't there been a direct backlash against them from their employers like what usually happens with actors who do horrendous things?"

The usual disavowing and so forth. Not seeing much of any of that from Hollywood on these two.

"Still a thing" is just a shorter way to say all of that. Get the stick out of your ass.

actually they do need to move on this now. remember the Sonic movie? the trailer was a disaster, nobody liked how they made Sonic look so they made a statement that they made a mistake and went back to the drawing board, redesigned Sonic to look more traditional and pushed the movie release back 3 or 6 months and it was a big success. with live action filming they need to schedule shooting locations, even if its in a WB studio. no response means they are giving up on this film and just going to dump it on HBO Max to let it sink or swim, meanwhile Miller's actions will be tied to this franchise for years to come. its a huge misstep. even Disney would scramble to fix something like this.

The reason they haven't done anything is probably because Disney has no fucking idea what to do to sort this out.
