Got the damn thing running on the first try, I usally always miss one cable or something.

She now has 500+ FPS in CS2 so I think a GPU will not be necessary for a while lol. What a shit game that is. I don't know how anyone can enjoy it.

7800X3D with 5080 will be the higher FPS combo (~+10%), though they will be relatively close and hard to distinguish.

9800X3D is about ~8% faster than the 7800X3D when using a 4090 with 1080p CPU limited tests. With a 5090 the margin increases to 10-12%. With slower GPUs the margin will still be there, but smaller.

The 5080 is about 13-15% faster than the 5070ti at raster and RT. At least for the next 6 months, it will likely be easier to get a 9800X3D than a 5080/90 too.

The extra $300 nets you the better motherboard and gpu. A used 7800x3d is going for $325ish used, so that’s another $150ish to put a 9800x3d in the G722.

It doesn’t list any other specific manufacturers, so the rest is a question mark… but it’s a MicroCenter house brand so it’s probably packed with whatever overstock they had at the listed specs.

You could DIY basically the same thing with a nicer case and bigger AIO for $2,500 including an overpriced 5080, so the price seems fine.

I got one of those PCs from microcenter back during covid in 2020. When you could not find a video card to save your life? Anyway, still running strong. The NvMe went bad on it, but it was one of those samsungs that went bad for lots of people about a year ago. Other than that just make sure your motherboard has the latest BIOS updates, because mine was WAY out of date.
