Overprovisioning of SSDs. Does anyone bother at all?
Some SSD manufacturers provide software tools to allow for over-provisioning of drives by the user. Actually, even without special software, any user can set aside a portion of the SSD when first setting it up in the system by creating a partition that does not use the drive’s full capacity. This unclaimed space will automatically be used by the controller as dynamic over-provisioning.
All I want for Christmas is a competitive AMD GPU selection.
Well, almost all of the parts are in. Asus Thor PSU is back ordered for another few weeks. But I am tired of staring at a pile of parts so I am going to put it together with what I have and install the PSU and custom cables when it arrives. Wish me luck...View attachment 185506

Well the Asus ROG Thor PSU came in and She's Alive! Now to get some new peripherals and I think I am done. Benchmarks to follow.

NVIDIA hasn’t been doing well in the stock market lately, and while that isn’t exactly a secret, several stories have emerged this week to elaborate on how bad the numbers have become. TechCrunch pointed out a few days ago that NVIDIA’s stock has "dropped from a closing price of $289.36 on October 1 to today’s opening of $148.42, a decline of 48.8 percent," which is pretty shocking. Management, however, believes things will rebound with the help of Turing, ray-traced gaming, rendering, and other growth opportunities.
