it just feels good to have everything all on the c:\ drive again, now that we have 1tb ssd/m2'sLoading games off M.2 drives is noticeably quicker than using even good SSD's (970 Evo, etc). I can load around in outriders in literally 2 seconds. #Feelsgoodman
AMD B series chipsets have limited lanes. Plug in 2 M2's and you are limited to 2 SATA. The X chipset has no such limitation. I've got M2's sticking out of everything and still have all my SATA ports.
Intel just sucks unless you are doing a basic build.
Meh still not there dude. At least as a gamer. 1tb goes real quick when games today are 50-100gig, unless you load one, delete, load another, etc....So I put all my shit on a platter, then have the second 1tb evo that I use as my game library, there I keep the games Im playing now, when done they go back to platter or just get deleted depending on game.it just feels good to have everything all on the c:\ drive again, now that we have 1tb ssd/m2's
i still have my old 32g ocz ssd's that i put in raid0, not b/c i wanted more speed, but b/c i need the storage space so i could run everquest2 from it.
did it matter? you know what, i along w/ other raid leaders guessed that whomever loaded into the instance first, always got put on the top of the aggro list, since i was the raid leader and mt, and i always loaded first, i never did have any weird ping pong aggro issues.
Wait a minute, I knew someone who bought 4 of those 36gig raptors to raid zero them back in the day....Real gamers bought 36gb WD 10k RPM Raptors and RAID 0ed them.

I remember dropping 300 dollars each on these things.
Oh, I only had 2. Actually I still have them, I use all my old platter drives as weights to keep my foil MTG cards from curling.Wait a minute, I knew someone who bought 4 of those 36gig raptors to raid zero them back in the day....
The noise and vibration must have been epic.Wait a minute, I knew someone who bought 4 of those 36gig raptors to raid zero them back in the day....
i always disassemble old hard drives, i keep the bomb ass neo mag (they hang on the fridge)Oh, I only had 2. Actually I still have them, I use all my old platter drives as weights to keep my foil MTG cards from curling.
But I definitely kept these 2 as an example to myself of money poorly spent.

Yeah, I have Windows on a 256gb nvme, a 500g 970 Pro nvme, and 2 1TB 870 Evo SATA SSDs. I notice almost zero difference in load times between games on the 970 Evo Pro and the 870 Evo. Maybe a second at absolute most and only then it's only games which have notoriously long load times. Games with mostly quick load times I can't tell a difference whatsoever.Meh still not there dude. I do it because its better on paper - i need all my milliseconds!Yeah, I have Windows on a 256gb nvme, a 500g 970 Pro nvme, and 2 1TB 870 Evo SATA SSDs. I'm pretty liberal with the amount I spend on computer parts (I bought gucci RGB unifans for no reason other than "I could"), but even I can't justify getting half the storage for roughly $50 more in cost, when the load time difference is almost completely indistinguishable.
yea, literally doesn't make a lick of difference, just saw a vid for ps5 comparisonsI do it because its better on paper - i need all my milliseconds!
they did other games as wellwhy would they use Cyberpunk which was neutered down to vanilla PS4 levels as their benchmark?
Hey guys I'm trying to plug this genuine Intel CPU in to make my PC go faster but I can't figure out which slot to put it in?
