Has anyone actually built a hardline system? I'm looking at that Corsair kit.

Amazon product ASIN B08C7QJC7G
I wouldn't go with the corsair stuff, it's fine but not great, and it's overpriced. I intend to do Hardline someday but it will probably not be my main PC. It will be like a media PC for TV gaming and misc stuff. I've played with it a little and made some bends. It's a lot of work and has to be very precise

i know metal brake line tubing bending is different than acrylic line bending, but i'm sure it's fustrating.

I probably should have posted this here instead of in the 30X0 thread:

Need some feedback on two orders I placed. I'm trying to decide which to keep. The first build is arriving this weekend and the second one will ship sometime in April. I currently have 2x 60Hz 1080p monitors but will probably upgrade to 1440, maybe 120/144Hz. Don't currently care about 4k.

Build 1 - $1,464:
  1. 10th Gen Intel Core i7 10700F (8-Core, 16MB Cache, 2.9GHz to 4.8GHz w/Turbo Boost Max 3.0)
  2. 16GB Dual Channel DDR4 XMP at 3200MHz
  3. Dark Side of the Moon chassis with High-Performance CPU Liquid Cooling and 550W Power Supply
  4. 512GB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD
  5. NVIDIA(R) GeForce RTX(TM) 3060 Ti 8GB GDDR6
Build 2 - $1968:
  1. 11th Gen Intel Core i7 11700F (8-Core, 16MB Cache, 2.5GHz to 4.9GHz w/Intel Turbo Boost Max)
  2. 16GB Dual Channel DDR4 XMP at 3200MHz
  3. Dark Side of the Moon chassis with High-Performance CPU Liquid Cooling and 1000W Power Supply
  4. 512GB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD
  5. NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 10GB GDDR6X
Basically, is it worth $500 to go from 3060 ti --> 3080, 550W --> 1000W, 10700F --> 11700F for 1440p gaming? I would have preferred an AMD processor but they didn't have any available that seemed like a "deal" the way these did (I'm using that term loosely since prices are absurb for anything these days...)

I suppose I would set it up to mine eth during the day while I'm working.

One reason I'm asking is because I've read that Dell uses custom cards with worse cooling, and the 3080 in particular can have throttling issues due to the airflow of the case.
As an update, I kept both PCs and gave my wife the 3060 Ti build. Added some thermal paste inside the 3080 and it helped a lot with the vram temps hitting >100 and everything is going really smoothly. May replace the front case fan but honestly it's pretty quiet unless it ramps to 100% which only really happens while mining on a hot day.

Seems like a good deal now in retrospect because I see similar builds going for close to $3k now. The case is goofy and ventilation could be better but it's quiet while gaming and it's a 3080 so I really can't complain.

Acrylic can be harder, as overheat can make a droopy mess or air bubbles in the tube wall. Scorching is also possible. Hugely frustrating part is that the inner diameter of bends tends to collapse without an insert. That's what that rubber snake thing in the kit Brahma linked is for.

I can't help but dislike the strimmer plus cables, it's too tacky for me. Reminds me I still need to get cablemod cables though

LOL - So this was going to be white RGB but for some reason the Strimer Plus white color looks off-white and it ruins everything - i need to figure out why its not pure white and looks more off-white before i can change color.

Also its the gf pc - i got rid of her Azza Pyramid and shoved everything in to the o11 mini - im tempted to stuff mine into the bitspower o11 w/ distro plate since it will be about 1/2 the size of my current one - I am supposed to rebuild my giant pc and redo the lines and clean up some of the cabling this week so if the itch gets strong enough i may change cases but considering i only use my pc for an hour a week as is it does nothing beyond satisfy the itch to tweak and fiddle with builds.

Bottom front fan isn't spinning, reeeee.

Yeah so oddly when you tighten that spot the case its so close it stops fan from spinning - i had to unscrew a bit to get it to spin but its fine now.

I mentioned it before but the o11 series is a true gem to build into - The P8 is also glorious but its soooo big

It's finally done. I wish some of the header spots were different on the MB to hide some of the fan cables, but oh well. That RGB is metooing my eyeballs and I love it.
