Interesting fan placement. With 2 top fans, why not just put in a 240 or 280 radiator? Put 1 on the back for exhaust, and 2 on the side as intake? I suppose if temps are fine it doesn't really matter.
I was thinking the same thing, I probably swap but temps aren't an issue

When I insert into 2 it doesn't even read... How to get to read?
The linked post led me to believe it was something you had to change in bios, because you have to lower the lanes available to your gpu or something like that

You are correct sir. You have to enable 2_M.2 on the lanes in the bios. I got it setup and formatted, so I'm good.

My plan is to replace my 950 Pro that's currently in 3_M.2 with my 980 Pro after I move everything over to it. Then I'll go back and remove 2_M.2 from the lanes in the bios.

This kind of work load isn't overheating the CPU. But when the GPU starts pulling 350w while my Ender is going it triggers the battery back up.

I think I need to change OC settings, I used the "workstation" OC setting in the bios

are connected to the light socket? i know those cheap light sockets can have an outlet attached, i bought one too, idk know much about electrical wiring, but some homes use 14g for light fixures and 12g for outlets.

maybe your pc connected to a light fixture that has a bonus outlet while using 14g internal wiring is causing a trip?

Watt spikes I dont think really matter. Shit, people have 1000w heaters plugged in all the time. a microwave is like 1000+ watts. The thing to watch for is amps, to make sure you dont go over your amps on the fuse/breaker. Most should be like 15 or 20 amp and have more than one light/receptacle so just make sure no other shit is on at the same time.

It is .. I think
I think it's just drawing from the battery, essentially tripping into the battery back up. The firehazard of a setup I have right now is actually disgusting.

I'll see if I can spot a size on the wire

14ga is rated for 15 amps and 12ga is rated for 20 amps. The circuit breaker, wiring, and outlet ratings should all be matched. Any extension cords and power strips should also meet the minimum amps/watts required by the system (i.e don't use a cheap Xmas light extension cord to get power to your 12900k/3090 rig). 20 amp outlets will have a sideways T slot for indication (though nothing is stopping someone from using a 20A outlet on a 15A circuit). Wattage is voltage x amps, so 120v household power x 15 amps = 1800w max. 20A would be 2400w max. Max sustained power draw for household appliances is limited by law to 85% of max capacity, which is why things like electric space heaters all max out at 13A/1500w. Keep in mind that the circuit limit is for all the devices on the circuit - a bedroom might typically have one circuit, so the combined draw of all devices plugged into all the outlets on that circuit will be limited to 1800/2400w. Older homes tend to have fewer circuits, so multiple rooms may share one circuit. Newer homes will have many circuits, and certain devices may be on their own circuits (specific appliances like the garbage disposal, bathroom outlet for a hair dryer, etc). Circuit breakers do not typically trip instantly when max capacity is reached - they usually require a period of time (measured in seconds) running above max capacity before they trip to allow for current spikes (typical with electric motors). A breaker that trips too easily/prematurely may need to be replaced, as does a breaker that fails to trip quickly enough.

Without knowing what good voltage or anything else, any good ways to go about evaluating how well my cpu is doing, if heat is what I should expect etc? Was my first diy install. Havn't found anything good to stretch graphical legs on so far. Tarkov mostly plays faster and smoother but maybe not as much of a boost as I'd hoped (get dips to 70 fps, but then so do many pro streamers with super rigs, Tarkovs just garbage under the hood.)

I do have cpuid and hwinfo installed but again luddite at what to look for/whats good ranges.

Interesting amount of asus stuff that came w/ the card, though leaving everything stock not messing with any OC'ing (mobo also has some built in cpu options)

What's your setup?
My GPU hit 95 and I panicked, but apparently the new cards have differently placed sensors and the higher temps aren't an issue

90-92C is fine. 95C is actually getting hot.

I feel like you guys are playing in attics in the summer with these temps. What damn game is raising your temps above 65c??

Video of Linus playing various games on a QD Alienware with HDR settings on. $1299 for a 34" ultra-wide 1440p 175Hz w/ G-Sync Ultimate and Dell's 3-year warranty covers burn in.

I imagine the samsung one being released later this year will be even better - I want it but its not worth downsizing from my CX48 all the way down to a 34 UW.
