WTF is going on with the comment section to that PC? Crazies arguing about optical drives and floppy disks, only a few useful comments like:
ABS is horrible!!!!!!

A quick look at some of their other ABS Master Gaming PC deals shows around 25% of buyers giving them 1 star. Zero stars would be best option.

Bought this PC for a client.
RTX 3060 GPU is made by Zotac for resellers, and as such, only has a 1 year warranty that Zotac requires ABS, as the reseller, to resolve. It died within a week. Fought with ABS for 2 months getting a replacement. Same story every few days, "sorry, don't know what happened. Replacement should have shipped out. We'll send out another today." Repeat about 8 times. Only way they finally shipped replacement GPU was after threatening with credit card dispute.

Hmm, I bought it not even an hour ago and skipped the $130 4-year warranty plan. maybe I should have grabbed that

Id need to check the manual but i think Max is 140 or 160 back.
If its the full size Torrent its 180mm since i think the Front is 200mm? and bottom 180mm? f let me google.

180mm dual front 140mm triple down and 140mm rear.

The 180mm Torrent fans were the loudest of any case GamersNexus tested in 2021, hitting 50 dB at max speed. They had to lower the RPM down to 47% of max to hit the normalized 36 dB for their testing, which resulted in the lowest CPU temperature and middle of the pack for GPU.

Thanks to Mist over in the GPU thread, I was able to get myself a 3080ti, and as such I things like CPUs and rams to get those sweet sweet FPS's. Would appreciate some advice, both on the level/performance of what I've chosen but also the price, like if it's currently overlisted.

After brief research I feel like the 12700K(f) is the sweet spot for performance and price. Amazon has the KF for $351, and I saw Microcenter has a deal for the K for just $300, but it's in-store only and the nearest MC's are in Dallas and Houston, an equal 3 hours away from me in Austin. I don't think that's worth it, with the exception that if other parts in my list could be acquired for better deals than Amazon/newegg, I'd make a daytrip.

Along with this I found the MSI Pro z690-A for $232, which lets me use that snappy new processor but also cheap and reliable DDR4 memory (and also the integrated wifi and bluetooth would see use). Assuming this is a wise choice (avoiding DDR5), what the heck ram to choose? There's a zillion listed and the price range seems relatively tight, the cheapest 32gb I saw being about 120 with lots of options at 140/160/180, which are all possible choices, so if someone could just say "____ is the one you want" that'd be great.

Similarly, for hard drives, no idea what to choose. I'm currently using a 1tb SSD with 4tb storage, but the storage was used entirely on downloading torrents and I've switched almost entirely to streaming stuff, and I don't keep a wide dearth of games installed so I'm thinking a nice 2tb nv.me would do me solid. Is raid still a thing? Should I be looking at 2x1tb drives?

Power supply I'm guessing like 850 would do the trick, and I'll figure out the case situation later, as I'm currently using an open-air one I like a lot but I see lots of new options. Right now I just wanna get the guts all sorted out.
all intel (K) cpus do not come w/ even a ghetto cooler, whatever cooler you buy MAKE SURE, it has socket 1700 mounting of course top tier air cooler companies will have a way to send in for a free kit or buy the mounting kit for 10bucks ala noctua, bequiet
(atm the d15 comes w/ the socket 1700 kit from amazon already Noctua NH-D15, idk about other coolers)

Hmm my torrent is rather quite with small burst for 5-6 seconds or so - Furthermore the Torrent was their favorite case that year also - Airflow wise its still only second to the Raven R2 - Also no one runs fans at max so not sure the need for the comment - The fans ramp up but going to max for a few seconds makes it negligible.

Context matters with benchmarks so if you're browsing and see the Stock comparison people would think the noise is the worst. But in reality it has a super high ceiling for air movement while normal operation runs at half the RPM. I have sensitive hearing so it's definitely one of the specs i look for in a case.

Oooooook, so I've got a Rog STRIX Z590 E Gaming Wifi mobo and a 10th Gen Intel i9 chip.

The problem with my cpu being 10th gen is that it's 4x m.2 slots are limited to 3x, bc the cpu is using one of the lanes.

So, I should still have an extra m.2 slot available correct? The cpu doesn't take two lanes and leave me with 2x m.2 slots does it?

I'm going to give you the lazy answer of RTFM (read the fucking manual). It should tell you which slots if any are on which chipset and potentially share PCIE lanes. But really, all that might mean is disabling some ports, so if you aren't using any SATA SSD's or anything it might not matter at all.

I did when I first got the prebuilt last April, but it wasn't super clear. I had to trial-and-error and I don't remember if there were any other slots besides the 1_m.2 that didn't work.

Seems like you want to use 3 and 4. 1 and 2 have drawbacks, how much those drawbacks matter? Couldn't say in real world

I have an old AM2 motherboard, some DD2, DDR3, and a variety of other old hardware if anyone is interested. ASUS Sabertooth P67, Z77, ROG Strix Z270E, all with processors in them, and possibly RAM in them as well. To the best of my knowledge they all work just fine, but no guarantee on that as they've been sitting around not getting used for years at this point. Also a bunch of Corsair ML120 Pro fans (9 I believe). Really all I want is shipping. I've got original boxes on most of the stuff, but no promises everything is in it.

Just waiting for a $250 3050, comprised of spare parts from the "water" and "lost bolt" incidents that had me trouble shooting with my bank card.

Customized the old 5.25 and 3.5 bays on this ancient case with some 3d prints for a 9 year old

I'm pretty sure 1 doesn't work at all with 10th Gen cpu.

Also, I have reddit blocked. Can you screenshot?
