also looks like ps4 is the way to go with destiny, the DLC content will have exclusives for PSN

I made a Bungie account, linked it to my PSN name, and put in the beta promo code that Amazon sent me. Is that all I do until beta starts?

it feels a bit weird/off putting that bungie and destiny are already pushing two DLCs/xpacs for $35 before the game is even out into beta. I guess thats the business, but ehhhh

How is that any different than any game/franchise that sells season pass? They just already have names for 2 of them. Now if youre saying those DLCs will be out on release then yeah id be a bit mystified.

I'd rather pay for content then pay for an Xpac then continue to pay monthly for them to finish that Xpac.

yeah i don't have a big problem with it, I just wish devs would choose the "focus on making an amazing game for our first release" than on making as much money as possible for their first game as a studio. The season passes for COD, BF4, Watch Dogs, and Titanfall have all been more or less worthless and I kinda wonder if the same will end up with Destiny.

Granted this one at least includes some single player content in the xpac, all the others were mostly MP maps that ended up being pretty meh and not used much in rotations. I guess this will play out more like Borderlands though.

I understand your point but I'm willing to give them a pass on this because it's MMOish. They need to have content keep flowing or people will just get bored and stop playing and be less likely to buy further DLC's. It also seems like this is way more then some stupid ass map pack that you usually get in FPS's.

^ When I categorize Video games with going to the movies, it doesn't sound bad at all. $60 for 10+ hours or 2-3 hours for $30 (2 tickets, popcorn/drink) I think I'm being generous with that estimation.

yes the $10 to upgrade program went away back in march or so, but dunno if you will lose progress or be able to keep playing the same characters (should be able to? dunno)

I imagine you'll have to buy the disc or digital for the PS4, but the Bungie account your character is on will play across all platforms? Are PS and Xbox all on the same servers?
