Yup, sadly done with this game.

Sure, PVE can be a mindless grind but i don't get PVP in this game. No strategy, no real objectives but to kill or be killed every few seconds. Sorry, but that's way too boring for me. Patch is too little too late and once the DLCs hit, the playerbase will start to be divided which i cba with.

That said, Destiny was game of the year for me, even with all its flaws.

i got 2 fatebringers this week but outside of the novelty of having an arc weapon primary I'd rather use VoC or shadow price everywhere. The low max ammo sizes is really annoying, with VoC feels like I can go FOREVER without needing ammo whereas with any hand cannon its about 4 clips before i'm out. I am rank 2 from IB (carryover) but don't see the point of grinding out, the gloves/boots are worse than VOG raid gear as far as stats and the weapons don't seem anything special, not that I'd bother grinding up to rank 5 anyways.

pugging IB during the day seems ok though, yesterday I played 5 matches and won 4 and lost 1, all solo Q'ing in. I bet evenings are a total shitfest though. I'm gonna stick with Far Cry and GTA though, and just login for Xurday and nightfalls. I dunno if they fucked with public events or if just fewer people playing means fewer spawns, but I was 0 for 5 tries on PEs yesterday too.

I agree on the HC thing. They shoot faster than scout rifles, but end up with about 1/3 of the magazine and 1/3 of the reserve ammo. Scout rifles have similar damage, but much less recoil and are much easier to aim at medium-long range

I must be getting lucky in IB, I've won probably 75%, with no losing streak longer than 2 I think. All pretty much solo queue in the evenings when I get home

The devil you know is working out great for me with the 12 ammo clip. But I just bought shadow price so we'll see what I think after its leveled up

I have a .AFL or Aries Nemesis (I don't remember, but I have 4 purple scout rifles) with field scout. A scout rifle with 27 in a magazine pretty much means I never reload once during a life during PVP. I also have a 'ammo frenzy' Devil You Know. It has ammo to magazine on kill and ammo to magazine chance on miss. It also has field scout. I'm still leveling it, but it's probably going to be pretty naughty.

I went something like 8-2 in IB solo around 8pm EST but then around 11pm with 2 other people I went 1-4 and then solo I went 2-6. I joined late on 4 of those games and all 8 of those games had a party of 4 or more. Still beatable, but coordination is very key in PVP. Having teams who sit on B and rotate to their other point rather than just run around trying to kill people is very helpful.

All in all still pretty fun. I had a 14 kill streak consisting of at least 7 melee kills last night to win the game in the last two minutes. I was literally shaking from adrenaline from it. Was pretty great.

LOL, I was lucky to get both as drops. DYK as a vanguard reward for hitting rank 3 and Shadow Price as I was turning in a random blue engram. Both are sweet and I use them both. shadow price is OK for PvP.

Interesting discussion in some reddit articles about which AR is best between SUROS, Shadow Price and Vanquisher VIII. Consensus seems to be its dependent on the perks you get with your roll on the legendary ARs. I haven't used any other AR since I got SUROS but might have to play around with my Shadow Price. It has the stability perks on it and not field scout for added magazine size so my version may not be better then SUROS. Interesting though, as I thought the SUROS was hands down the best AR but this explains why I have been dying alot in Iron Banner when I get in a shoot out with another player who has an AR and I have SUROS. I need a parsing program for Destiny!!!

In general PVP, a lot of people recommend NOT upgrading Suros. They say it's a lot better without the the "More damage, less speed when aiming" perk. It makes a lot of sense.

I liked Suros more before the damage/-speed perk. Downfall was you ate through ammo like a beast

Yeah, I've been saying that since day 1, why the fuck don't we store our gear on our ships? Also adding the ability to share bounties would be nice (assuming that person has not completed it). Having 10 bounty slots helps a bit though, but I've probably spent about 2 real life days looking at loading screens due to those two points. Allowing us to skip cut scenes would have saved a few more hours also.

The trend of the top PvPers getting shit on in the loot screen is pretty damn annoying, but the fact that you don't get increased rep gains from doing better is even more annoying.

I've gotten Delphi probably 50% of the time tonight. And I always start at point C, with my team too retarded to do anything but rush B the whole fight

Ya.. unfortunately it seems if you start at C, it's an instant loss in a pug unless they're morons and try and capture C. That's why I got a 3 game losing streak right now.

There's only 4 maps for IB, apparently. Earth 1/2 and Mars Watch/Delphi. No moon. Unless I'm just unlucky but I've done 30+ IB matches already.

Top players do get more exp because of their inherent score, but in IB it doesn't matter because very few people are still leveling shit~. I've now seen 1 Timur's lash and 1 Joldens Hammer drop in my 30+ games. Neither I got.

I'm not worried about experience. I'm talking about reputation.

I would think a good player would need to play less games to get rank 5, and I don't mean just the slight bonus of winning.
