You can ride the pike all the way to the dead guardian. It disappears after the cutscene

Anyone able to to iron banner? Either no one is playing it or it's jacked up, stuck at 1/12 guardians

I enjoyed the moon mission as well. Nice change of scenery and for some reason I really liked seeing the new (old with new color schemes) enemies.

Looks like all matchmaking is down for me

Are golden chests an earth-only thing? Not seeing the #/5 overlay on the moon mission select screen.

Also, got a killer sniper rifle as a reward for the moon mission. It has a power up I'm working to unlock that lets me pick up any kind of ammo by shooting it. Pretty handy, and I haven't seen it on any other weapons before.

Ive seen it on a couple - but i dont particularly use sniper rifles as much as id like to - scout/fusion all the way.

I didn't see one person in the Moon mission area. I guess that part of the game is borked. Also wanted low gravity and was dissapoint.

Anyone found anything interesting on the moon, outside of the mission? I've gone everywhere I can think of but not a single level 20 or ??? mob like on earth. Highest level mob I've seen on the moon was 7 I think.

If you start the mission on hard you get level 9s. There was a weird thing called a shrieker down pretty far under the surface that showed as a vehicle on the map. Exploded and shot some purple goo at me

All I seen was 2 lvl 12s while exploring, killed them but beyond that was blocked off like every other spot, 0 chests

The moon zone is pretty massive if you explore it. People have already found the 5 gold chests in that zone, supposedly it gives you an emblem.

Fusion rifle seems kinda shitty to me, what about it do you like?

Regarding your first, post, yes there are golden chests. I found one and have the 1/5 listing on the moon. Not sure if there are any more on that map. Just found the one.

--- When you first turn on the lights and unlock the speeder, take a left not right. Just down the road there, 50-100m or so, will be a rocky surface splitting the road to go around it (not large). I found the golden chest on top of that. Continuing down that path, there are lots of little caves, with lots of green chests as well. Think I got around 10 chests the first time I played it.

As to the other question, if you go down into the temple (not by the path of the mission), you get lots of acolytes. Then you pass something like 4-5 zone names downwards, and before a zone called the Summoning Pit or somesuch are two level 12 mobs (hollowed knights). They hurt, but are killable. Path behind them is closed though.

Continuing down that temple (before doing the mission) will get you lost as hell too, as eventually you will get so far that the mission guide loops back, guiding you to the entrance to the back of the mission area, and that is closed. I just warped out at that point, took over 30 minutes to get all the way down. Nothing really interesting down there though except that I triggered some sort of event, drop ships, but running around didn't seem to trigger more. Didn't find any bosses or any more golden chests. Lots of green ones though.

So I wanted to see which of my characters and weapons I was most efficient with to help me pick my release class so I played the new mission on hard with all 3 classes using a Green AR Cydonia, Green Shingen-C, and Green Scout Rifle. The results are in and I am still unsure.

The Guardian was using the Cydonia and had the easiest surviability but was the slowest at killing everything.
The Warlock was using the Shingen-C and plowed through everything. Between that and his specials nothing got closed or lived long. The bosses did live a little longer then normal though but Sniper rifles worked well on them.
The Hunter died the most. Actually I only died twice but it was the only class I died with at all. Probably due to using the scout rifle instead of one of the other weapons. The bosses however went down like tissue under golden gun fire. Easily fastest boss kills. Probably only relevant for yellow bosses. I doubt Major bosses or tanks would go do fast.

Note While I use the terms fast and slow they were all very much close to each other in killing speed. I do know that I much prefer the Guardian's jump ability over the other two but I don't have the triple jump from the hunter line. The Guardian Flashbang is extremely useful and rivals the Warlocks vortex grenade for me.

Edit: I also found a green scout rifle with "One random bullet in the magazine causes considerable bonus damage." Not sure if I should bother trying it.

Watching a guy's stream who is really good at parkour. He broke through so many spots on the moon that were gated off.

They should just leave that mission on during the whole Beta so people can explore it.

The AR that was being sold by the merchant that was mentioned is pretty awesome.

These maps are massive and gorgeous but I desperately hope there's more than just chests and the rare ghost to
collect...so much potential and I find myself just being like 'damn this game is hollow'.

To be clear, I love the game and whatnot...just saying.
