I really hope there is a lot of content at launch I can see myself really smashing through this game. Even if they do release quality DLC each month I'll pay. I'm also excited to be here at the beginning of a huge world/event. This is going to be bigger then WoW was last generation. As I've stated before Destiny will be the WoW of the Xbone Ps4 generation. I'm driving the hype train get on board.

Well keep in mind that all the PVE content in the Beta is one map. Different sections of it are used for different story missions and sliced and diced into phased instances with limited respawn, semi-open areas that stitch those phases together and totally open freeplay missions. Despite using that map for several stories and a Strike there are still plenty of hidden nooks and secret areas to be found in the Open map, so at a minimum they are making excellent use of their geographic and art asset content. I am reminded of the elegant density of Vanilla WoW in terms of how well they craft an illusion of immense space into a given single map.

the DLC content isn't coming out until 2015, one probably around feb and the other closer to end of year, Destiny 2 in 2016. you will 100% be one of those guys that level caps in the first 2 days, clears all the legendary strikes in the first week, rages at how stupid the PVP matchmaking is, and quits after the first 2 weeks complaining about how bungie lied about how much end game content there was
i'm torn between staying at ghost pre order or going to digital, not having any discs or boxes will be nice plus can start at midnight launch or whatever. could also keep LE, trade the regular game disc in after I finish the game in 2 weeks, and rebuy digital during 50% black friday sales when a ton of people come back into the game. decisions decisions
Has anyone managed to kill a hallowed ogre yet? Ran into one yesterday and 3 of us (lv 8) couldn't even damage him. I've seen a few hallowed acolytes down in the dark a few times too but they were also ??? level and immune to my damage.

Zarcath do you know if they intend to fix jump shooting in pvp? or do they completely want it out of the game?
If you aim down sites and jump it will not go where your reticle is pointing at, it blooms.
Bloom is really bad, its random, and takes part of the skill out of the game.

I wasnt going to level to cap but i wanted to make sure to check out the event later - Strike damage seems higher than it was on alpha but thats a good thing. Getting ammo during the big spider tank can be a bit problematic since you can go quite a few waves of trash without seeing any.
The tank spawns bots that always drop ammo, also you can camp one person at the safe spot, and just spawn with ammo.
If you are playing with friends all you have to do is have two people go to the safe tunnel on the right, and one person on the other side at the pillars to turn the tank.
Takes like 3 min max to down him.

Hes not hard at all but those bots werent always dropping ammo - had a few waves in last match where i was down to like 30 rounds or so - I was getting more sniper ammo from the real mobs than primary ammo.

Does last hitting give you anything? We had a guy on the last boss hide in the tunnel and not move the entire time until boss was at like 1% then he ran out blazing.
Oh and when I go to the strike there are two 'normal' options. Where does the Vet stuff come in?

Im not sure if last hitting does - I usually last hit Prime and Spider tank and havent noticed anything "yet".

Go to the Crucible Quartermaster and you can sell 40 spinmetal under the material exchange heading. You get marks, rep, glimmer, etc.
How the hell does weapon damage work exactly? I got an Sahara-AR3 autorifle with very low impact, but 39 attack. It literally does no damage though, like low single digits. I mostly use scout rifles anyway, but other autorifles I've tried didn't suck nearly so bad as that one.
