That's the Angela name I remember. So by Batista's ex wife, I guess I mean his LATEST ex-wife. Regardless Nina, Angela, who gives a fuck-- the confusion is understandable. Not going to edit it. Honestly my head is spinning, and I don't care anymore. I'm done trying to decipher this spoiler. It's a fucking Seneca nation chief of police Dexter is going to mediate with between the townsfolk, what ex-wife of Batista is it or not, is pretty irrelevant.
But I didn't know Sgt. Batista ran through so many girls-- but it is Miami I guess!

No. She wasn't involved with the original series at all. There wasn't even a character named Angela in the original. But there were 2 girls named Angela with a last name that started with B that acted in the show.

Seems to be a solid enough show, but the constant narration is distracting.
What would the show have been without the narration? Let me figure out the story as it played out.

New Blood apparently is a mini-series as well.
So there is no series arc, everything will be wrapped in 10 episodes, and this is not Season 9 and there certainly won't be a Season 10.
Mini-series even if popular aren't going to turn into regular season Dexter. For that reason I'm probably out. New Blood is merely using the Dexter characters.

The narration is an essential part of the show. If you completely removed it the show would need a lot of reworking to get close to being able to express what his inner monologue does. I think it also does a good job of showing the divide between fake Dexter and real Dexter.
